Or am I the only one?

Well, we got the Pats and Red Sox, man...but I think Bonds is one of the biggest steroid abusers in baseball...Not saying he's not talented...but Hank Aaron didn't have the luxury...and didn't need them...So, I don't really take too much pride in seeing Barry Bonds break the record...

I was hoping the Japanese players on the Red Sox would decide he was dishonoring the game and bean him.:)

Remember when a guy hitting 20 homers a year was a power hitter?

I hope he does and baseball collapses of it's own bloated mass.

Tell me again how a guy gets injured on a walk.

Baseball fans are stupid. Either the numbers of old timers mean something, and Mr. Balco is a travesty to the history of the game, or it is irrelevant, and there is no reason to celebrate. Pick one.

Better yet, stay in denial. Baseball will be dead soon. (Like the NHL, but the NHL doesn't know it yet.)

I do, even though I am no longer a Giants fan. Yes, he did steroids, but so did most sluggers in the late 90's/early 2000's, as jose canseco can tell you. And none of them hit 700 homers, even with steroids! It's exciting, and there's a slight chance I may get to see it in person.

I think that most people would like to see it happen. The people that have hatred towards him or no interest in baseball will not care one bit.

For me, if he passes the record up, it would be great for baseball. It does not matter about any drug issue because if he did, it happened when it was not banned or illegal.

I am.

Because once Bonds breaks Aaron's record, the day after it happens...

...the evidence they've been holding against Bonds will be presented to the public, and ruin his spotlight.

...and I can't wait!

I'll definitely watch, but I won't be as excited as if it was, say, Ken Griffey Jr (or someone else not embroiled in the steroid controversy) doing the breaking.
