I feel that people are just trying to ruin his rep and good name. The man has earned his position. I feel that all of the smack talkers need to put up or shut up.

i mean every pitcher is like...uhhh....overweight and fat, with beer bellies, hence Bartola Colon, Brad Penny, David Wells, Roger Clemens...and like 90% other pitchers...I can't even remember a fit baseball player...only guy i could think of of is Jay Payton, Mets

I watch a lot of baseball, football and basketball...i am sorry, but there's no such thing as an athletic pitcher...i mean, i heard working out can interfere with a pitcher's throwing motion and a hitter's batting techniques...so and so, but come on at least try to do something to look like a professional athlete...

how do you expect little kids to look up to you as a pro athlete when all they see are your big a*ss bellies

same goes for golfers...just a bunch of beer belly-fat guys taking big whacks at balls

I know the Tigers are doing well this year, but who still thinks they shou'dve won it all last year? I'm no tiger fan but I still don't know how the worse cards could win.

What was the best world series ever? Also, what was your favorite world series?

Personally, I would say 2001 was my favorite and and as an A's fan, I would say that 1972 vs the reds or the 1962 ws with nyy and sf was pretty good (so I hear).

Isn't it possible that Aaron and Ruth took performance enhancing drugs.. and don't give me that crap about "they didn't even have steroids back then." thats Bullshitt. Also please no answers like "Ruth did it off hot dogs and beer".. I'm tired of hearing that garbage and it doesn't make you sound clever or witty when you say it.

This little popularity contest called "Who's Now" that ESSN is hosting is ridiculous. They are trying to turn the sports world into Access Hollywood. Maybe Pat O'Brien will take over Stuart Scott's job.

I just saw Arod get voted over Peyton Manning, are you serious? The 3 that voted said that the fact that Manning just won a Championship didn't matter.

Erin Andrews is a hot piece of ***, but thats it. She sets women sportscasters back 30 years when she opens her mouth.

If I wanted to hear people talk about who the coolest athlete was I would go back to high school.

ESPN, please get a grip, don't try to appeal to the stupid American, try to appeal to the Sports fan.
That is all
Thank you.
PS Please leave comments.

How come Barry Bonds couldn't throw out Sid Bream from deep shortstop in Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS?

I keep seeing on ESPN that when Arod and Bonds get up to bat the umps switch to "special balls". What is the difference between these and normal balls?

of them changing the set of balls when arod gets up so it has the mark on it. what im trying to say is, arod hits couple of foul balls into the stands, people could just say, oh i caught the 500th HR... if you get what im saying, then what is the point of doing this

Losing Chase Utley is horrible for the Phils......who do you think needs to step up in order to keep the Phils on the path for the pennant.......I think that if Pat Burrell steps up and hits like he should and if Brett Myers pitches great when he returns then they could still win a pennant.......who do you think will step up to the plate??

John Lannan deserves to be fired!!!! and then beat up!!!!

think?

I felt kind of bad since Bud has gotten so much heat lately and shows up but then Barry doesn't! I think that was bush-league. I think Bud doesn't owe any more appearances to Barry or the Giants just for that!

i am working out getting back in shape because i love the game. i was varsity catcher my sophomore year and pitcher on varsity junior year. I quit my senior year cause i was mad at people.

If a pitcher himself makes an error why doesnt it count against his ERA if runs score because of it. How many think that it should. Example todays Mets vs Pirates game. Oliver Perez gave up 5 runs in the 6th inning but none of them were earned because of an error in the field that he himself made.

Why can't yankee haters have some imagination? They are like a bunch of parrots copying each other. Right now they like to talk about the cupcake schedule against teams like kansas city. Well last week those awful royals took took 2 out of 3 from the red sox. And why is it always the "cupcake schedule" can't you call it anything else use your brains if you have any!
