This will never really happen but what if baseball restructured itself to be like soccer in most countries. A major league of say 20 teams or so, and then a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th division each with 20 teams or so. Every year the worst 2-3 teams would be relegated and the best 2-3 would be promoted. It would make things more interesting and teams that currently have no shot to win (like TB, KC, Bal, etc) could compete on equal terms in the 2nd division with some of the better "minor league" teams.

153.1 Inninngs pitched

Josh Beckett:

ERA: 3. 27
124 Innings Pitched
1 Complete Game

Dan Haren:
W to L: 12-3

0 CG

Justin Verlander:
W to L: 11-3

But what about...
Erik Bedard:

His numbers are just as good. Is he not getting any Cy Young buzz, just because he plays for the Orioles?

I mean the guy is like 50 years old and still get on base close to 60 percent of the time. I know he's suspected of using roids in the past, but what he's doing now couldn't be from roids cause major league baseball would have busted him by now.

Tadahito Iguchi for Michael Dubee, relief pitcher. BUT HE IS IN SINGLE A!!!! I don't care if it's a prospect, not all prospects turn out to be good. Iguchi was decent and now Cintron or Gonzalez are starting. We didn't do anything to boost our relief pitching for the next 2 years. Can Ken Williams get any dumber. We don't want prospects!!! I want major league ready players. We trade for stupid prospects. (No offense to the prospects, but a major leaguer for a A player, NO WAY!!). The Phillies obviously got the better of the deal. Now the Winston-Salem Warthogs might win 1 extra game. Was this a bad deal?
