You know, ive always liked both teams. The red sox and the yankees are about even alothough i have to say, the red sox are a little bit better in current standings. Throughout history, the yankees have had many very good players, and so have the red sox, they both have had their fair share of fame but thhe yankees seem to be a little richer =P

The New York Yankees are much better than the Red Sox throughout history. So many legends have come from the Yankees and they have all contributed to the 26 World Series Championships that the Yankees have today as opposed to the 6 that the Red Sox have. That's the most amount of championships a franchise has in baseball. The Red Sox had an 86 year drought showing that most of their years as a professional baseball team was spent trying and not winning. They were stopped mostly by the New York Yankees. So, it's clear that throughotu history, the Yankees are the better team. However, they are both wonderfully talented teams as of now. The Red Sox are also ahead of the Yankees by 7 games.

This is actually a pretty silly question, as the Yankees are by far the best baseball franchise in history and it would take another century of futility for them to lost the title. The Red Sox have an faithful following for sure (much like my Tigers do), but they just recently won their first World Series since my grandpa was born, whereas the Yankees and World Series Champs have (unfortunately for non-Yankee fans) gone together like chips and dip.
I'm sure there will be huge fans of both teams giving their "insight" into this rivalry for you, but in the end, if you're talking about history, the Yankees are the bomb and the Red Sox are the pits.

History shows the Yankees have had better teams but, you must take into account that they were all individual teams and you cant count on them always being champions ,which, has been made obvious by their lack of a world series championship in the new millennium! I have always loved the Red Sox and always will so I like them the best! Yankees fans feel the same for their team I am sure. I don't think you will get fireworks for this one though..just look at the record books to see the yanks have more championships...or just listen to some of their fans that live in the past...sigh....

Of course the Yankees. How long did the Sox go without a title while the Yankees had how many? Consider the large number of Hall of Fame inductees from the Yankees. The Yankees are the most distinguished team in baseball history by far.

Yankees hands down. 80 something years to win a title doesn't qualify you as a good team. the yankees won about 20 titles in the time that it took the red sox to win one. so until the red sox go on a streak like the yankees they will always be the inferior team. Good teams aren't measured by how many good players you have they are measured by wins and losses and the amount of championships they win.

i do no longer see the Yankees as a championship team. Sabathia won't be able to pitch under tension and became hammered via the crimson Sox interior the 2007 playoffs. Burnett's going to make a pair journeys to the DL (the subsequent Carl Pavano?). the protection in the back of the pitching remains a horror teach. the Teixeira unfastened agent signing isn't adequate to interchange Giambi and Abreu. additionally, it is quite significant: A-Rod has continually struggled under tension (his occupation BA is under .200 interior the postseason). will he nonetheless be valuable after the steroid scandal? followers would be giving him the Barry Bonds scientific care via heckling him nonstop. will A-Rod have the potential to shield it or crumple?

Yankees. What kind of stupid question is this? 26 World Series titles. Nobody can compete with that. And lets not forget that the Redsox made possible the dumbest trade ever to be made. They traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees and look what he did for them and could have done for the Redsox. In my mind the New York Yankees have been one of the best dynasties in all of sports since the beginning of time!!!!!
