Since Bonds was a man and admitted using steroids, shouldn't he be rewarded for his honesty as well as breaking Aaron's record?

He was honest about it by admitting it. Read: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=bonds+admits+steroids&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz2

On my baseball team I am a pitcher. I can pitch about 60 to 65 mph. All of a sudden our coach replaces me with another pitcher who pitches in the 70s but cannot pitch as many strikes as me!! Even though our team was fine. We still are giviing up more runs then we used to. Coach moved me to Second base ( I am pretty good at 2nd). But the problem is that i am not happy at 2nd. I already asked my coach if i can pitch again and the answer was no because he wants me at 2nd. Im not happy there and this is my favorite team ive been on it for 4 years now. I would hate to move on to a different league. And most importantly my teammates are the best teamates that i have played with. And I dont want to go back to playing with nasty teammates because ive been there. What should I do now or how do i convince my coach that I am a pitcher and not to have me play 2nd base.

I am sick of Kevin Towers. He has put together one of the most underacheiving lineups in history. Please sign a big bat! Adrian Gonzalez is a natural 3 spot but Mike Cameron and Brian Giles? Leadoff and clean up? What the $#%!?

A Texas Leaguer is a soft fly ball that goes over the infielders heads and in front of the outfielders that falls for a hit.

A Baltimore Chop is a hit that goes straight down hard and then bounces so high that it looks like a pop up. By the time it is caught, the runner is on first with a single.

Does anyone know how these got their names? Sources, please - web sites (or web cites!) preferred.

I mean, they do have the best 2nd half record every year in the majors. I think so.

I know that Carmona and Sabathia each have 13 wins, but their other pitchers, Westbrook, Lee, and Byrd, have less than 10 wins. Sowers is still rebuilding his confidence in the minor leagues and is not ready to return to the big leagues. With the trade deadline fast approaching, who could they trade?

such as J-Far, Georgie Porgie, etc. Need to get a life.....you are not a real fan if you discuss the Yankees more than your own fav team, you have limited if any baseball knowledge to contribute to any type of meaningful discussion. I understand it's easy to hate the greatest franchise in the history of sports, but c'mon, its pathetic.

Not all time, just for 1 postseason, and only for starters. I have a small fantasy league in which a friend of mine (another owner) has a starter with 7 postseason wins for 1 post season, and I'm just curious.

I ask this question as a Met fan, but can not honestly tell yet if they are better or worse this year. I'd say they're about the same, and should improve with a move or two and especially with the return of Pedro.

I'd like to hear all (intelligent) thoughts...

Preparing for the playoffs, I recently picked up Bartlett (Min) because he's been playing well for a bit, I still have Hardy (Mil) as my back up, but I've been waiting for a while for him to pick up again, had him as a starter when he was hot earlier this year, but the playoffs are here, and I'm considering picking up Theriot (Cubs) as a back up, because at least he's been a bit consistant.
