Yeah you can...I heard Jennie Finch talking on the radio out here in Chicago about her knuckleball. Don't ask me how to do it because I have not a clue but I know she can pitch one so it can be done.

yes if you pitch you can throw a knuckle ball i pitch for fastpitch softball and i have been working on throwing a knuckle ball its pretty much the same over hand!

if you wanna know how just grip the ball with your knuckes at the seams and go through your wind up and push so the ball has no movement and does not spin! so cool yet very hard lol

Yes. I played in a fast-pitch (underhand) softball league for a couple of years. Some of the movement put on a softball can be mindblowing. Those experienced in pitching can make the ball do weird, wild stuff.

One pitcher we faced threw a knuckler. What makes it wild is that the softball is so much bigger than a baseball, yet the knuckler still moves around as dramatically.

A knuckle ball is the softball equivalent of a change up. You throw a change up by either keeping your wrist straight and let the momentum force the ball out of your hands, or pushing it out of your hand. Either way, it is a slow pitch.

In baseball they throw the ball a lot harder and its a lot harder to hit, they have more pitches to throw, and outfield and infield the ball for baseball is a lot faster on the ground in air and the bases or 90 feet when softball is like 45 and the fence is like 170 and baseball is 430 and its obvious that softball is a lot easier than baseball

Actually I pitch in Slow pitch softball and it's easier to throw underhand than overhand!! It's dosen't move as much cause you don't throw it that hard but it drops alot more if u can get the rotation right and the seams turn the right way you can get it to drop really well!!

I don't know about slowpitch, but it seems the arch of the pitch would cause an attempted knuckle ball to start to rotate.
In fastpitch a knuckleball is part of a great arsenal of pitches available, and really complements a changeup due to the erratic movement.

Overhand with a softball - yes.
Underhand - Not sure, I'm sure you can get quirky movement throwing underhand though.
