I mean I dont care if anyone hates Bonds I mean its thier choice. WHY do they try and convice everyone they are so great and get mad if anyone hates on them?

I NEVER said I hated the yankees. I WANTED TO KNOW WHY YANKEES CARE SO MUCH WHEN PEOPLE HATE.
You DO care otherwise youwouldnt insult when I was merely asking why certain yanke fans get upset.

To JEff. Yankee fans do not take more crap. Giants/Bonds fans do. If you wear a yankee shirt to work people dont harass. I get that if I even mention I am from SF.

I'm a yankee fan... I really don't care what other people think. The only thing that bothers me is when I'm watching a game in the confort of my own home and my fiance's annoying friends sit there and say things like "derek jeter sucks peter" or "a-rod more like gay-rod"
Other than people disrespecting me in my own home, I could care less if anyone hates the yanks.

Yankee fans know that no one is wasting his time hating the Devil Rays or Nationals. People hate the Yankees because it is more fun to hate the front runner, especially when their fans remind you that they are front runners. In addition, there are certain traditional rivalries that go back years, such as Giants--Dodgers, Tigers-White Sox, Yankees--Red Sox, Cardinals--Cubs. Boston fans love to hate the Yankees because they make such a great enemy. Imagine trying to be the sworn enemies of the Padres. You just couldn't do it. They don't have the annoying arrogant announcers like the Yankees, they don't have a history of swagger on the field, like the Yankees. So, the Yankee fans should be flattered that all true non-Yankee fans just hate the Yankees.

I'm a Yankee fan, and I personally don't care if anyone hates me or not, but sometimes we just have to argue when we some of the ridiculous anti-Yankee questions here.
Have you ever stopped to read all the questions that are just there to ridicule or get under the skin of Yankee fans? Yankee fans take more crap on here than any other fan, so sometimes we have to respond and stick up for out team or for Yankee fans.
Yankee fans don't have problems with teams like the Giants, Brewers, Cubs, Mariners, Padres, Diamondbacks, etc, but fans of those teams are all over the Yankees with some of their questions. Some of the questions are very stupid, and don't look at all the facts. For example, two days ago I read a response saying how Luis Gonzales, "schooled" Mariano Rivera in the seventh game of the 2001 World Series. Schooled? With a broken-bat, opposite field blooper over Jeter's head with the infield in? You hear people banging on the Yankees because of payroll, but they don't mention that the Yankees put more money INTO the game than any team.
Yankee haters are always asking why the Yankees always "buy" players, but then these people didn't notice that on Monday night, the Yankees started SEVEN homegrown players in their starting lineup. Yankee haters make stuff up, don't get their facts straight, and like to stir crap up. I love to respond to these people to tell them how clueless they are, or that maybe they should actually know what they are talking about before typing some of this garbage.
I don't mind if anyone hates the Yankees or their fans, but if they do, they should be prepared to back it up with facts, or they will hear it right back.
giants.baseball--I don't think it's Giants fans who take more crap, as much as Bond's supporters do. You mention Yankee fans, and as I said we do not have a quarrel with them. Seriously, you can log on here in the middle of December and read anti-Yankee junk. Even with questions that have nothing to do with the Yankees, you can still find harrassing stuff in there.

Let me explain. We are talking about sports here. Everyone has a team they love. That is great. Love your team. Root for your team. Cheer and cry for your team.
However, there are a unique group of baseball watchers (incuding many who answer questions here) that claim to be "fans" of a certain team but really define their appettite for baseball by their hatred of the Yankees. They let their hatred fester until it controls everything. When they look back in 20 years they will realize that they let their hatred control their lives -- or at least the sports fan part of their lives -- and they lost something because of it.
I don't hate the Mets. I don't hate the Red Sox. I don't hate Bonds. There is no reason to hate anything in sports.
I guess that the hatred comes out of jeolousy. The Yankees are the most successful franchise in sports history and everyone tries to emulate their model. When your team fails to match up with the best, your self-esteem suffers and you hate them instead.
I pick on the Yankee haters because they are fun to pick on and they are a nasty, miserable group.

Cause were hated by every other teams fans in the majors. It's that simple.
Also, most fans care about what the Yankees r doing more than what their team, and people think that we're all rich, and we're all stuck up.
Hate me, I don't care. I'll never see any of u on here in person.
It's easy to hate the best.

Because all the non-New Yorker Yankee fans have picked their team because they need to be on the winning side and statistically the Yankees provide that. (Note: If you are from NY, NJ or Conn, that's your home team and I don't include you in this category)
Because they need to be on the winning side, they feel like they're losing if you hate them.

Cause thats how most TRUE fans are its not just the yankees. But i know what ur talking about they always say you either hate us or love us there is no in between. I dont know.

I truly don't know...I'm a Red Sox fan...and I know that a lot of people don't like them. But I also know that it is their decision..who to like and not like and nothing I say will change that. Yankees fans want everyone on their side...and ya I know some Red Sox fans are like that...but me personally I like being a team people hate...I know my teams doing something right!

We don't care. I'm reminded of a scene on "MASH" where a wounded soldier, angry at the Army, tells Major Houlihan, "I hate your guts!" And Hot Lips tells him, "My guts are not here for you to love." That's how we Yankee Fans feel about you infidels: The team is there for US to love, and we don't care how you feel.
