(1) Albert Pujols, (2) Ozzie Smith, (3) Chris Carpenter, (4) Scott Rolen, (5) Jim Edmonds.
All Cardinals, sure. If you wanna name 5 Yankees, that's fine.

Sheffield was very upset about playing first base with the Yankees; he will not be playing that position.

What will the addition of the future hall of famer, Sheffield do to the Tiger’s lineup? Monroe, Granderson, and Ordonez are all good players. The only weakness is Grandersons’ batting, but he has needed speed. The tigers need a good fielding and hitting first basemen. I like Sheffield, but I don’t see the need for him in the Tigers outfield.

Only intelligent answers with a valid train of thought will get the points.

Newsday is reporting today that Citigroup has won the rights to name the Mets' new ballpark, and it will be named CitiField. What do my fellow Mets fans think of the name? I think it's a good name, because it reflects New York and there was no way the Mets would retain the name "Shea" because of the revenue they gained from the Citigroup deal. I'd rather it be named CitiField than something ridiculous like Pepsi Park or Yahoo! Yard.

I think its bad because his numbers haveing been going down since last year and he gets injured every year!!!!!! I think we could of picked up another young CF who could dive for the ball like Edmonds can do but besides getting hurt.

Considering if he goes into Starting Rotation, it leaves a MASSIVE hole in their Bullpen and they dont have a closer, ..and as much as the geniuses running the Red Sox think you dont need a Closer, the fact is YOU DO. So if they get the Japanese kid, shouldnt they leave Papelbon in the Closer role? Besides, they know he can close in the Majors, they have NO idea what he will be as a every 5th day starter.

I heard that he might move the team since the city wont drop any of the cases they have against him?? Does the teams real name even sound right? I meet Rex Hudler at the airport and he said that they're not allowed to talk about it??

How come the sports writers don't talk about this series of possibly being a White Sox scandal.Didn't you people see how the Detroit pitching staff threw strikes over the plate but they could never through the ball to first, second,or third accurately to their target. How about Joel Zumaya's throw to third base.I never laughed so hard while watching a baseball game like the sloppy performance by Detroit in the series. The Cardinals scored mostly when Detroit made errors.I don't remember Detroit making a single error against the Yankees and Oakland.

Joe was third in almost every offensive category. It is a kick in the nuts to A-Rod that he didn't win the award.A-Rod had .290 AVG 30+HRs 100+ RBI.I'm thrilled that A-Rod didn't get the award. He did terrible from day one offensively and defensively.

One being the third rated pitcher in all the minor leagues.... I guess the Yankees werent stupid for holding on to him by picking up his option. I guess we'll see.

The Chicago Cubune (paper that owns the Cubs) has declared that the Chicago White Sox are the most popular baseball team in town based on polling from an independent source. The White Sox had about 300,000 less in attendance, however the Sox count people that actually attend the game, whereas the Cubs count paid attendance (even when they sell to their own scalper- they count those too).

So is it possible that the myth that the Cubs are more popular than the Chicago White Sox will go away? Or will the lemmings still believe the hype that the Cubs are the team to see in the windy city?

Oh, and if you look at attendance further out than just the last 10 years, you'll see that the Sox consistently outdrew the Cubs. Not until Steroid Sammy went to the Northside did the Flubs draw more people.
