for those of you who dont know. He is signed with The Tigers through 2009. All he needs is 45 HR's to reach 500. In those 3 years he could very well end up close to 600. That is HOF material.

The "ole" D? Are we talking the Spanish version of which I have not yet seen?

No, he won't be wearing the Olde English D as he'd not be wearing a cap or uniform. Most go dressed in a suit. As far as the cap on his plague, he isn't getting in the HOF at all. Look at his stats. 500 HRs in this juiced era is not getting a lot of players in.

When was he ever considered a "great" player. He's a very good player and just like Bobby (not Barry) Bonds he moved around way too much.

Its not up to sheffield what he wears, they stopped letting the players pick what cap was on their bust 6 or 7 years ago, because people started selling it to teams they played for. Like the D'rays payed Wade boggs alot of money so he would have them put a Tampa Bay D'ray cap on his bust, just so Tampa could have sumone in HOF wear their Cap..it became a joke. so now, MLB and the HOF decide. SO Sheffield will probably either Wear the Cap of Milwaukee or i think San Diego, which are the Teams i think he started with and spent most time with.

Curt Schilling - i admire his opportunities, and there are worse already interior the corridor of repute (Drysdale) the bloody sock already is why not Curt sometime. Jeff Bagwell - i think of bags has an good possibility of one day being inducted yet certainly not a regular pollcorridor of repute, vast and robust yet occupation decrease short. super totals even with the undeniable fact that for a fifteen twelve months occupation. could be inducted along with his counterpart the different Killer B (Biggio) Jim Thome - Thome is an thrilling case will end with greater beneficial than 600 abode Runs and greater beneficial than 1500 RBI's yet a sub par Avg and Base Hits (2138) he would be there sometime merely what twelve months which would be we would could wait a jointly as. Jim Edmonds - not real confident why he's in this record yet corridor of effective merely not corridor of repute Juan Gonzalez - Its nevertheless achieveable, i think of this one relies upon on his involvement with steroids. super numbers for a occupation decrease short with the help of injuries, merely think of what he might have achieved if he performed 162 video games in line with twelve months in his final 3 seasons. Vladimir Guerrero - he's easily on his way and arguably already has the numbers to circulate in, If he keeps to be healthful for yet another 3 or 4 season then that is a no-brainer if not then we can all merely could wait and notice. he's 34 and could be turning 35 in spring training as a thank you to easily could wait and notice. Trevor Hoffman - they're going to could define what a corridor of repute alleviation pitcher is earlier i will remark on Mr Hoffman (or Mr Rivera for that matter) in greater beneficial than one hundred seasons there are in basic terms 5 alleviation Aces inducted (hands, Gossage, Wilhelm, Sutter, Eckersley) Mike Mussina - Hmm thrilling one that .638 prevailing pct cant be handed over that a million.192 WHIP cant be handed over yet that 3.sixty 8 era is rather severe, there are much greater effective yet plenty worse already in, we can could see what them writers think of of his contributions, rings and his friends. Gary Sheffield - I say if he reaches 3000 Base Hits then that is a no-brainer if he would not then i don't understand, certainly on the bubble. Larry Walker - I consistently popular Larry however the only way he gets interior the corridor of repute is an identical way you or i will, purchase a cost tag. good question Merry Christmas

Why would you want a player like Sheffield wearing your favorite team's jersey in the HOF? He should be banned from baseball just any other player who purposely throw's games.

He may go to the hall. He is very close to 500 homeruns. If he gets a ring here he'll wear the D.

I think he will make it to the Hall of Fame, but I don't know who for. The Marlins or Dodgers probably. The Braves only had him for a few years. New York, he was too injured to do anything. I really only think he will only spend one season in Detroit. He is getting over the hill. He definitely will not make it on first ballot. Maybe 3rd or 4th. He had most of his success in LA(Most of his career highs there), Fla(Won his only series ring there), and even some in Atlanta(I think he had a career high in RBI's and maybe average).

Yeah probably, I honestly think he will have a great season next year with the Tigers, I think his whole time there will be 100+ RBI seasons and he'll choose the big D.

He'll probally have a picture of himself on his hat...not really sure he's a hall of famer. Better numbers, him of Jim Rice?

all the players in the steroid era are going to face a way tougher path to the hall.
