We won the World Series in 1985 and we will win it again eventually. We have some very very promising prospects right now. We've had some of the best players in baseball the past 10 years but given the way baseball is set up we've never had the resources to keep them around. i.e. Dye, Damon, Beltran, etc.
Good answer Georgie P., we small market teams have to stick together. I was rooting for you guys to kill the Cardinals.

I don't think the world will last long enough for the Royals to ever win the world series.

1985 they won.....luckily, I was too young to really remember it or it might have made me really sick when they beat the Cards.
I would like to see KC at the top of the AL again though and also have the Royals-Cards rivalry sparked again, it just hasn't been a good match the past couple seasons. Certainly not one of the best interleague rivalries like Angels-Dodgers, Mets-Yanks, etc.

They already have won a World Series. Will they ever again? Certainly...but just like other small market teams...everything will need to fall into a place for one season for it to happen.

Although they did win before, it is not likely that they will win again in the near future unless Don Denkinger returns to active duty as an umpire.

Not until they fix their fielding and get some pitching.... Mark Grudzielanek was great, but the rest needs to step up to help. They hit like crazy, but if you can't keep the other team off the bases, it doesn't matter.

Considering they have won one (in '85) and even the Red Sox and White Sox broke their skeins, I'd say sure as long as MLB survives into the next century.

Oh yeah they will.
They've got a new GM who seems bound & determined to get them back on the right track.
It might a few years, but have faith.
If The Tigers can do it, so can KC.
