There is a playoff system, its called the regular season. Its pretty simple really. If you're in a BCS conference, DON'T LOSE!!! If you do that, then you'll wind up playing in the national championship. If there were a playoff system, that loss Michigan suffered to Appalachian State in week one wouldn't have been that significant. Every week you need to win your game, how could it get more exciting than that. Sure Georgia and USC are playing better than anyone right now, but they messed up earlier and that is the way it is. The BCS tries to reward the teams entire body of work, not whoever is playing better at the end. And a playoff system wouldn't make sure the best team wins. In baseball a couple years ago, St Louis won the World Series. You can't tell me they were the best team in baseball. College football thrives on all of this debate, and that's the reason I love it so much. Who's with me?
