I live in the US. I go to high school and my high school started last year. I live in Philadelphia and our school is on our own to get money. Me and friend of mine are selling baked goods that we have our parents to make, but we arn't making enough money or food to get the total amount of money we want to make. We were going up to about 2,000 dollars because the jerseys will probably cost around 100 and if we need extra stuff like baseballs, the left over money will be used for that. The only sports we have are basketball and soccer, but everyone is waiting for baseball to come and maybe football. I don't know what to do and I'm out of ideas on what to do.

Get all your friends, family, parents and parents friends together for a "benefit party" at your place. You supply the food and drinks and have everyone thats invited be aware that this is a donation party...you may end up with a couple thousand dollars...

MLB has the Baseball Tomorrow Fund. The Phillies should have some kind of Community Fund for youth baseball. Diamond sometimes donates baseballs. Solicit sponsorships with businesses in the area, especially larger corporations. Contact chain grocery stores to see if you can bag groceries for donations (we earn $300-500 a day or more). Coupon cards, flowers, cookies, etc., raises good money. Check with the Phillies to see if they have fundraising opportunies like Kid Glove Days to raise money for equipment or selling tickets to raise money. These are two things the Reds do for baseball groups here.

Also, find out if some of the players, former players, broadcasters, etc. have foundations for youth sports that you can apply to. The same opportunities are available for the other sports, too!

Try Mikensports.com They sponsor and so does underarmour.com Not sure if they will but all they can say is no. You can get nice jerseys much cheaper than that online. $100 should easily by a full uniform. Most companies give discounts if you buy as a team. try baseballsales.com

I would suggest that you contact major companies like Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Best Buy, Costco, Meijer, etc. and explain what the situation is and ask them if they could sponsor your basketball team. Alot of companies have fundraiser forms or something similar for you to fill out to request sponsor ship and assistance.

Good Luck.

Visit local businesses and have a presentation to them of team members, past records, and cost annalysis for the amount you wish them to sponsor. A uniform design may help in closing the sale. In essence you are selling advertisement for their business.
