wow, lots of great answers,my question is really about the confrences, you talk about losses, but i believe,if iam not mistaken all of lsu, florida and georgia only losses came from sec opponents, these teams would more than likely win all their games in a different conf.just my opinion.thanks for all the great answers!!!!

I think Florida could, if Tebow stayed healthy, beat any team at any time with they way they are playing now. However, I think Georgia could also. LSU has arguably the best talent of any team in the nation, but they don't have the caliber coach they need to win the tough games. The SEC will be an absolute slaughter house next year. Alabama will be much improved; Georgia is a young team this year and can only get better, which is bad for the rest of the teams; Florida will be a winning machine with Tebow having a full year as a starter under his belt; and mark my word, Miss State will be a force to be reckoned with next year. Don't laugh, Croom is doing an amazing job there. Then you have Tennessee, who is always good; LSU, who will have a down year next year; and Auburn, who is likely to have a similar season as this year. Absolutely no way anyone could argue that the SEC is not the toughest conference in the nation. No other team in other conferences has to play that many good teams.

You should've said LSU and Georgia. Those 2 teams should play for the national title.
I like what college Basketball does with the Conference Challenges. Just imagine how the SEC would fair if college football had Conference Challenges. I'd like to see a Pac 10 and SEC Conference Challenge. This would put an end once and for all to those people who somehow can't see what's obvious to the rest of us.

BCS sucks in general. Period.
People don't want a playoff, though. They'd end up with LSU, Florida, Georgia, and USC (or someone else) in there, and having an all-SEC final is no fun.
Now, the point is always taking care of business. With 3 losses, as big a Gator fan as I am, we don't deserve to be in that discussion this year. LSU and Georgia do. I still think outside the SEC, LSU could kill just about anyone they face. Georgia would make it close, but still win.
Florida can beat most people, but that defense needs to grow up a lot. But watch out next year!

Unless you are a LSU or Florida fan, you would disagree. I have respect for the SEC as a tough conference, but at the end of the day... Florida and LSU didn't get it done. OU is in the same boat however they have an opportunity to be the last team this year to knock off a #1 team and that won't be enough to get them to the NC.
However, one thing I will totally agree with you on is that the BCS sucks.

The South jap convention is the main powerful in all of faculty soccer. i've got enjoyed gazing SEC soccer. Florida is the protecting nationwide Champ. they ought to run the table to have a shot at a repeat. LSU Knocked off Florida. LSU additionally knocked off South Carolina. South Carolina knocked off Kentucky final week. Kentucky knocks off LSU This week. circulate SEC. i want the SEC to repeat as having lower back to lower back nationwide soccer Titles. Alabama seems particularly solid. How will we overlook Georgia, Tennessee? circulate SEC!

Typical SEC-fan nonsense.....if you're the best team in the country, you WIN your games regardless of how tough a conference you might play in. LSU lost to teams that lost four and five games, respectively, this season. That is NOT the stuff of which champions are made. And Florida dropped three games, so it's ridiculous that you somehow think they're the best in the country.
I do believe that the SEC is the best conference, but that doesn't excuse losing games. If you're the best, then you should win regardless of the competition.

Don't know about Florida. I think LSU is vulnerable, as my Razorbacks showed. LSU also lost to Kentucky, and won some very close games. I would have to disagree, even though I am a big SEC fan. NCAAF is just too competitive this season, we need playoffs.

I agree that Florida could run the table in any 16 team playoff system. LSU on the other hand, barely squeaked by several mediocre teams this year and their true colors finally showed through. I also agree with your take on the BCS. There has to be a playoff system in able to crown a true National Champion, plain and simple!

yes, i think lsu and florida could beat any of the other top teams in the country. granted i go to school at florida and love the gators, i honestly think the team is good enough to do that.
imagine if tebow had been healthy when we played georgia... and we had won (i know we lost badly, i was there, we were outplayed big time). we would still have been ranked higher, maybe still in the talk for the national championship and georgia would have been no where close to where they are now. they are a good team, but if georgia and florida were to play each other again this weekend... florida would blow them out.

LSU, Florida, and Georgia could match up with any team in the country and more than likely beat the hell out of them, but that won't happen. Mississippi St could beat Ohio St.
