The only difference between a so called prossional and your own picks is discipline..if they even really play the games they pick.
Some guys win a couple of games more than they lose for a season and call it a succesful season. This is because they have huge bankrolls, and they bet large amounts on less games.
Pick your own games. You can pick them. u just can't force them. Thats another basic difference. A handicapper might only play 1 or 2 games on a football weekend, whereas the "amateur" will play every game thats on TV, and chase their money if they lose their first game.
so it's not the picks gang. you;d be surprised how well you could do if you were extremely selective.
i will say this though...avoid handicappers who have a pick on every big game there is. These guys will put up anything because they know people will want a pick for a big TV game.
