A lot of people says Mike ruined his reputaion by playing for the Wizards. But I do know Magic and George Mikan also attempted to come back to play after years of retiring and now as you see a number of veterans suddenly expresses to return to play after years of inactivity. I want to take your opinions now is it really a veterans fault that they somehow tarnish some of their reputation by suiting up and palying the game they love?

Ryan Klesko. Remember when this guy could mack it hard? He has 278 career HR's in parts of 16 seasons. The 36 year old Klesko used to routinely hit 25-35 hr's per season from 1994-2003, then he lost his power. He has 6 HR's this year in 345 At Bats. Can anybody say "no more roids, no more power?"

Must be ALL mesh-the XL version has 2 large main compartments and 2 smaller one. If you look at the Jansport Big Student backback, that would be the size but still need it to be mesh.

I know a soccer ball should be about 6 to 8 PSI, but I can't find a gauge that accurately measures PSI below 20. Does anyone have a "rule of thumb" so to speak for how to tell it's about right when you don't have a gauge? For example if you drop it, how high should it bounce? or When you press on it, how soft/hard should it be?

Remember this is a team that just like last year, has been put on the radar as a contender for the Cup. As big as a Sharks fan as I am, I believe they will suck this year. Don't take me wrong history will prove this. For starters, they let go two very key players in Mark Smith and Scott Hannan. Mark Smith may not be a scorer but he can sure as hell grind down the opposing team and set up plays. Scott Hannan may not be the best defender in the league but he was the only veteran defender in the team.
Two, Roenick and Sandy jumping on board sound kinda queliche. Maybe two years ago this would have been fine but not know.
Three, does anyone other than me remember the All-Star Shark team from a couple of years that was picked to go all the way but didn't even make the playoff's and ended up getting all traded away or never resigned. Hey the one with Selanne, Matteau, Sandstrum, Strum, Marleau, Nolan, Nabby, Suter, Marchment, Rathje, Ragnarson, Stuart, Ricci, Dampousse, and Scotty Thornto

I was watching some of the Hagler, Duran and Hearns fights and i'm puzzled by the results of these fights. Forget the pre lockout contracts, but teams are overpaying players like Brierre, Drury, Gomez, Penner and so on. Even Crosby is overpay at 8.7M per year. I think the top players should be paid 7M/yr, max (like Joe Thorton).

There seem to be a big gap in salaries, we get a lot of players in the 7M range then the next tier drop to 5M and the rest are at 2M or lower(some of the lower group are underpay in my opinion to compensate the big contracts). In some ways this makes the NHL as a whole more competitive because the top teams simply can't keep all their players. Result is - there will be no more dynasty and a different winner each year.

We now get teams like the TB Lightning that play with only one line for the past two seasons. The Senators lost Chara and Havlat, traded away Scheafer and will probably lose Redden next summer if not at the trading deadline, and will eventually be down to a one line team like the Lightning.

When will the NHL teams stop overpaying the top players?
