Its ridiculous, just when you htought it could not get worse, they take Martin and put him in a car in hopes fans will be nice.

Maybe Mark Martin will be a good influence and be able to share some morals. It's good that he can share all his racing experience with DEI's drivers. I want to to see Truex rise to the top. Maybe the seperation of Junior from DEI is just the way it really should progress. I think it was selfish of her not to let Junior keep the #8. There's a lotta drivers better than Junior, but if it's true about his cars mechanical problems, he should do a whole lot better next year, because he almost made the chase with all those DNF's. He's going to be driving for the winningest team, and i'm sure he'll have a lot less problems and frustrations on his mind. Just remember, Dale Earnhardt and Mark Martin were good friends. I think Mark Martin is looking out for Dale Earnhardt, and that's very cool and respectable. I know he cares about their reputation. Mark Martin is one of the good guys. Personally I think Mark Martin and Junior are too nice, and too polite. I wish someone would toughen up Junior.

Mark was reluctant at first to take over the #8 ride. Dale Sr. had once said that when he retired that Mark would be a good replacement in the #3 car.Hearing that Mark was OK with it.It is all about leadership Mark is a good driver and seems like a good person too. He is not looking to take Jr.s place he just wants to win some races.

He didn't do it to himself. His former team owner was the one that did it to Martin when he sold the company. In my own opinion I don't think he'll hang around there long. By the way, he will never be a disgrace. He's probably the most respected driver in Nascar - very consistent driver.

I can't think of a driver that could take the number 8 and not disgrace himself other than Mark Martin. Mark earned his respect with everyone in the race community no matter what car he drives. Mark has nothing to prove to anyone just racing for himself. All he wants is a car he can win with and if Teresa knows what is good for her she better give that to him.

i don't think of that Hendrick is going to offer NASCAR's maximum usual motive force and the motive force that gets the main $ away. His merchandise revenues supply that team a great style of money, that is used in the direction of sponsorships and equipment. this must be a Kasey Kahne, Mark Martin, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. question. Earnhardt, Jr. made so plenty additional funds than Mark Martin final year. as properly, Jr. become probable focusing on racing because of the fact he desires a solid run at Texas Edit: think of how plenty the gang must be different without Dale Jr. on the gang. that could additionally propose much less status for the gang, meaning much less followers routing for Hendrick, meaning much less merchandise revenues for Hendrick's drivers, meaning much less $.

I like Mark, he's a driver and now just races for fun. Being
part time he has no pressure. DEI made the offer and he
accepted it. It also makes sure that every time he's driving
that the car will be in the race, so there's more owner points
going to DEI. Smart move for everybody involved.

Mark Martin, burnt out? His average finish this season is 12.8 which puts him right among the leaders. With only 18 starts he is 26th in the points standings, ahead of a number of drivers with 25 or 26 and a couple who started all 27. If all that adds up to "burnt out" there are bunch of younger drivers who'd like to be "burnt out" too.
As far as Mark disgracing himself . . . you can guess what I think of that.
The Teresa vs. Junior affair is a family feud. That means we are not hearing the whole story. I try not to take sides in such matters.

Did you want to know our opinions on Mark, or did you just want to bash Teresa?
I think it's ironic that Mark is driving for DEI since he and Dale were such rivals back in the 80's and early 90's. Mark was always running second to him. I want to see him take the #8 to victory lane next Febuary in Daytona!

No way is MM burnt ou.
Look at the facts, 2007 Daytona 500 by .02 seconds to Kevin Harvick.
Lets see where the favs finished....
Jeff Gordon 10th place.....
Jimmy Johnson 39 th place.......
Kurt Bush 41st place......
MM is as classy a gentleman as there has been in a long time. Always has a positive, upside to things. Never points fingers, just races to win.
He's an Ace, and DEI is lucky that he said yes when THEY ASKED HIM!
And for TE...well 'nuff said......

It will be the DEI Army car #8 versus the HMS National Guard #88 for next year. That will be interesting. The battle of the Armed Forces.
