Ryan Klesko. Remember when this guy could mack it hard? He has 278 career HR's in parts of 16 seasons. The 36 year old Klesko used to routinely hit 25-35 hr's per season from 1994-2003, then he lost his power. He has 6 HR's this year in 345 At Bats. Can anybody say "no more roids, no more power?"

He's another one definitely. I'd also include Todd Helton.

1. He's 36.

2. He spent a few seasons in San Diego, and the new park (Petco, opened 2004) has killed everyone's power.

3. Spent nearly all of 2006 on the DL with a shoulder strain. Better players have been taken down by similar or worse -- Bagwell's shoulder gave out; Mattingly's back problem drained his power; there's others.

Steroids might have played a role, but plenty of other circumstances are aligning against him anyway.

But do jump to unfounded conclusions; teevee always needs a few more vacuous talking heads to fill the valuable 4-4:30 am MT slot.

It could be because of Roids, or he could just suck. 278 Is not really a lot for 16 seasons.
