I must be dreaming, right? Don't let me wake up, I've been waiting for years for this team to show some life!

It's all about names and hype now. Darko had a few good workouts before the draft, got picked 2nd and is in the NBA solely on this basis now. He's a bust. Sebastian Telfair was the best high school player in Brooklyn...big deal, he's a bust. Josh Childress was picked 6th by Atlanta...bust! Adam Morrison, Kevin Durant...can I go on?

Do teams even do significant analysis on draft picks anymore? My art teacher once told me to always go with my gut on tough decisions...I bet Detroit wishes they did that in 2003.

What makes me disgusted is when teams take the thugs like Carmelo, Telfair and Iverson when they know they'll just take the money and run. The NBA draft makes me sick, I wish I could offer my services, I think I'd do a better job.

Didn't Ahmad run one play for the Phoenix Suns? It was a segment on his old "NBA Inside Stuff" show; where Barkley and Majerle set a screen and Ahmad hit a 3 pointer. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone remember the date or the team it was against or better yet have a video of it. Thanks.

Sport plays an important part in the lives of many Australians. Badminton has a surprisingly long history given its relatively recent introduction onto the Olympic scene. The International Badminton Federation was born in 1934 with Australia joining soon after. However statistics show that the types of people participating in Badminton in Australia do not closely resemble the types of people participating overall in sport and physical activity Australia wide.

well pakistan produced one of those once in a blue moon performances against lanka and won!!! lanka really shuld be beating these pakis easily but lanka chokes once again like they did in the world cup final!!! under pressure lanka crumbles!!! tharanga hasnt done jack sh.it!! wijekoon is mud!!! and how can the lankan batters get out to a club bowler like the 1 hit wonder afridi!!! if it was the aussies, they would have slaughtered the pakis back to karachi!!! lanka is the best and more consistent team in the sub continent in the last few years!!! lanka is the best fielding outfit in the sub continent yet lose to lazy pakis!!! this is unacceptable and im pi.ssed to say the least...im fu.kin fuming!! gettin 10 an over in the last 5 overs is easy...so y did tharanga try to go for from ball 1!! he did the same thing in the world cup final...these guys might hav batting talent but hav no batting intelligence and it y the aussies r so good, cause they hav both!! I've noticed that Appalachian State has been recieving points on the NCAA top 25 poll, rating them today (9-17) somewhere in the #30-35 range.

Assuming they win out, could Appalachian State decide to accept an invitation to the Motor City bowl, or some other lesser bowl game, forgo the monthlong I-AA playoff and get the guaranteed money instead of the mere chance of winning the big money on the I-AA stage.

I understand that Appalachian State is in another division, but does that REALLY disqualify them from playing in a bowl game?

I sure know that the Motor City Bowl would be dying for more viewers and Appalachian State will bring just that.

Why in the world did Hendricks take on a loser like Junior? at the rate he is winning, he will be 114 yrs of age before he can match Jeff Gordon, in wins.. that is if Jeff wins no more races..don't make much sense to put a loser in a stable of proven winners...

A 10 yr old boy a Boston Red Sox fan, went over to Yankee rookie Shelley Duncan for an autograph. Duncan obliged, and the boy was very excited. He had gotten signatures from lots of other teams, but never a N.Y.Yankee. When he got home he read what Duncan had written, and to his surprise, he couldn't believe his eyes. It said 'BOSTON RED SOX SUCK', and then his autograph. Now I am a die hard Yankee fan. True Blue. But how are our kids going to learn to be polite, if the grown-ups they admire do things like that. What say you?

Favre Sets Quarterback Victory Record
By TOM CANAVAN,AP

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (Sept. 16) - Brett Favre didn't need a rocket arm to become the winningest quarterback in NFL history on Sunday. His 17 years of football knowledge and a near-perfect second half against a bad defense were plenty.

Favre completed his first 14 second-half passes and threw three touchdown passes to rally the Green Bay Packers to a 35-13 victory over the New York Giants' porous defense.

"Maybe someday down the road it will mean a lot," a typically humble Favre said after the 149th win of his career, moving past Hall of Famer John Elway.

What meant more to Favre was the game ball his teammates handed him after the Packers got off to their first 2-0 start since 2001.

"I'm not going to sit here and lie to you," added Favre, who was 29-of-38 for 286 yards and one interception. "I'm not going to turn it down. I've always been about the team. That hasn't changed. I think it's unfair that the quarterback gets labeled with wins and loses. I think it's a team effort."

While Favre refused to bask in the glory, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said any NFL record is a monumental achievement.

"I think a lot is made of statistics and touchdowns, but I think it's wins," McCarthy said. "When you go out and win over that period of time, that's the ultimate compliment a quarterback can have."

Any word on when their planning on giving him a whirl? You'd think Kiffin would deam this week his best shot at breakin that has-been in, right? I mean, Cleveland's paperthin defense is about as bad as Mariah Carey was in Glitter.

Maybe I should be sitting by the phone in case he needs an aging left winger? I only need 500 more goals to get to 500!
