Yes, Nash was robbed from winning the MVP. In response to David Ns comment, stop being so biased, look at it this way, had Nash played in the same era as Jordan, Magic, and Bird, chances are he would've never won a single MVP award. Perhaps the league agreed with you though when you say that he shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath as russell, wilt, & bird, as the only ones to have ever won it 3 times in a row. I say they are all a bunch of hataz just like you. I'm not Nash's biggest fan but I'm not biased either, Nash is a special player, the league did him wrong last season by not awarding him the MVP. If you actually watched a game of basketball last season, you would've seen that Nash had the best season of his career. Stop living in the old school, and recognize that russell, bird, wilt, magic, and mj and long gone... this is a completely different era of basketball.

NONONONONO!!!! Nash didn't deserve either of the MVP's he got and there is no way in hell that he was the most valuable player in the league last year.

the MVP is supposed to be the a person who your team CAN NOT function without. Have you ever seen the suns with Barbosa in the game??? THEY ARE STILL THE SUNS. Everything Nash has done is because of the system in place in Phx. When you take Dirk, Tmac, Kobe, Duncan, Garnett, Pierce out of the line up you can bet there team will lose.

You take Nash out and you actually improve defensively.

Yeah, but people could say the same for Nash's first MVP and say Kobe was the best in the league, the best in his team, and his team wouldn't make it to the playoffs if it wasn't for him. Without Nash, Suns would still be able to get in the playoffs. Its an individual award and should go to the best player individually, no matter what there teams do are how fare they are in the playoffs. Who helps his team more???? Nash is great, but Kobe should be MVP, and should have the last 2 years!!!!

Why? Dirk put up big numbers for the best regular season team. I would have put Duncan and Lebron ahead of Nash last year. Nash had huge numbers, but he gets to play with Amare and the Matrix. Plus, he got it in 05 when Shaq arguably deserved the trophy.

I agree with you that if someone deserves it they should get it no matter how many they have won in the past. But Nash robbed? Ha Ha no f'n way. He doesn't play defense.

Nobody. Mr. No Defense doesn't deserve it. When he learns that then he should be considered.

Why are Suns fans still crying about losing in the playoffs? Its been almost an entire off season. You have been losing to the Spurs for years so its not like a surprise they did it again.

hey, finally, a sane person!! i truly do believe that he desereved much more than dirk did.. now dirk is a good player, but he is no where near the to having the leadership nash has to his phoenix suns team.. heck, josh howard is more important to that mavs team than dirk is.. when nash playswith phoenix, they are one of the best in the nba, if not in the whole history of the nba.. but one he's not playing, the suns really reallly suck.. no one can run an offense as efficiently as nash (other than j kidd anywy..) he is also one of the best clutch players in this game.. he is not afraid to take last second shots.. n his basketball I.Q. is as high as it can get.. he knows when to make plays for his teammates, n he knows when to take over the game.. being a great in the game of basketball takes more than talent.. you need this formula to be great:
character + leadership + talent = great player
n everyone knows nash has all this n him.. n so yes i totally agree that nash 100% should have won that mvp award.. right now he is the best, not just because of talent, but again because of his leadership on and off the court..

P.S. he will win it this year! suns will win championship! no way on earth nash is gonna allow them to lose.. besides the only reason spurs won was becoz of the injury to nash (nose, he could've won that game), and those crappy suspensions!!!! GO SUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Certainly not me.

Look, Steve Nash deserved it, but Dirk Nowitzki deserved it more. Who cares if he blew up the whole playoffs thing? The MVP Award is for the reguler season, wherein Dirk Nowitzki dominated. In case you don't know, Dirk Nowitzki is the best player on the best team. That's how he got the award.

Lots of deserving folks - like Tim Duncan of the World Champion Spurs

Nothing against Dirk, but the Mavs would have probably made the playoffs without him. Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, and Steve Nash were more Valueable to their team. Sure the Lakers sucked (I'm a Lakers fan trust me), but without Kobe they would be in DEAD last guaranteed. Tim Duncan and Steve Nash have good teams, but still those teams center around them and they are both underrated and overlooked because they aren't flashy high flyers like LeBron. Its a shame.
