YES,I think the Steelers will surprise the Patriots.Nobody's looking at the Steelers. This is the Steelers team of last year with no turmoil.they won Super Bowl XL,then all of that drama(motorcycle accident, appendix, concussion)stopped them the 1st half of last year. Then winning 6 of their last 8 they finished 8-8.

No one is going to take the Steelers seriously until after the 5th game of the season and they beat Seattle. All of the talking heads that yacked about 2 and 0 teams barely mentioned the Steelers.
The second 5 games of the season will tell the tale of the 2007 Steelers.
Yes the Patriots and the Colts have started the season strong, but it's a long season. If Pittsburgh is 10 and 0 or 8 and 2 by week 11 then I'd say they are a contender. The season is still early. Too early to tell who the frontrunners will be.

they might and that they are going to, yet i might fairly have em do it interior the playoffs than for the time of the conventional season. permit they pats have there sixteen-0 season then have the steelers are available, in a chilly snowy january and play wreck mouth. the steelers have the type of team to overcome the pats, hard blitzing D and a rapid, aggressive O. the only factor that concerns me is the steelers corners, they cant adventure up with moss and stallworth, so the LB's will ought to get tension. the pats havent been hit interior the mouth yet and that i think of they are going to fold in the event that they're ( extraordinarily moss). yet another factor going for PIT is the undeniable fact that the pats play the ravens the week earlier and you recognize lewis, reed, and co. will positioned a hurtin on those boys. bypass STEELERS!!!!!

It's like this, In the playoffs, whichever team, the Steelers, the Colts or the Pats (my call is the Pats) prevails. Will be the Superbowl champs later on! I am thinking more of the winner of the Pats and Colts in the playoffs. Of course that is if they are still playing at the caliber they are now and they have no injuries to key players!

It's really too early to tell at this point, right now it the Colts & Pats that are the two top AFC teams, with San D at 3rd, the Steelers are the sleeper and have a legit shot to make some noise, but we gotta wait and see where they're at after 8 games.
I think the Steelers will loose to the Niners this weekend though....

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the team that I would put my money on. Everyone had them counted out when they won the superbowl defeating the Bengals, Colts, and Bronco's to get there.

If the Steelers can get a more consistent passing game together.... and they can get the ball in the end zone instead of settling for fieldgoals... then, yes. Absolutely, the Steelers can beat the Pats. I mean, hey. Who was it that ended the Pats 21-game winning streak in '04? The Steelers are better now than they were then.

Uh...The Chargers couldn't do it...The Steelers can't do it...and to the one who mentioned who ended the Patriots streak in 2004, it was the Washington Redskins...
