Sports - 13 June 2007

Just curious on your thoughts. I like watching Jr. I like nascar. But jr's comments about not having the proper equipment. Well, He sure as hell will have some of the best technology and team behind him. So if he performs, He'll be great, but what if, just what if this doesn't work out. I mean with the best equipment, (hendricks dominating this year) if he doesn't perform, will people say he can't win. And what is performing, winning races in 2008, or championship in 2008, what's realistic to all of Jr. Nation. No championship, no love. What are your expectations????

I stopped after the strike shortened season. Recently I have been getting the yearning to watch again, since golf just doesn't cut it for summer sports. I mean how many times can you watch Tiger win. So is the game better, the same, or worse than it was in the 80s. Also, how have the cardinals been, I was a huge ozzie smith and gang fan.

i think im depressed. not about life. just about a certain subject, Barbaro. i know i sound like im bragging but i can't stop thinking about him or crying. when ever i see a picture now i just start to tear up inside.
but i watch videos on youtube.com and i see what a great horse he was and that he went through so much for nothing, omg see im starting to cry writting this! (im NOT kidding!)

I saw how the way Lee spar in real life and you know what I think? He'll beat the hell out of any MMA fighter, To Ken Shamrock through the Gracie family and you name it everybody! No matter how big the opponent might be or good at ground game he can be, Lee would take them out in 10 to 15 second if they don't wear helmet. I think people are hella stupid when they say Lee would get own by this and that, they don't know that Lee have ground game also that would make an opponent scream for their mother to help them in a blink of an eye!!! Lee style is design to finish an opponent very fast if you don't believe it look at the book of his Jeet Kune Do and his sparring tapes. Lee is so fast and skillful lucky the guy wore helmet or else with so much kick form Lee on the guy head so many time he'll be in the hospital already! For people who is good at submission and grappling it will be a stupid idea to get close to Lee and try to grab him, you'll be pin yourself and break your arm in no time

Considering that the Indy cars go just as fast if not faster than the Nextel Cup cars, why is it that they have "Rain Tires" for the F1 cars and not the Nextel Cup cars? Goodyear has the technology, why not use it?

I know they're winning and all and they have twenty-five rings or something like that but they're so classless. I don't mind a few players like Jeter and some of their old players like Gehrig and Berra but the whole fan base is terrible. Too cocky :/

If I bought a very expensive baseball glove, bat, golf club, or even a $5000 bike, and I'm not a professional does it look weird?

Some of the road bikes out there are in the $5000 range. Should I be interested in those kinds of bikes only if I'm also serious about being in the Tour de France and not just a being weekend rider?
