Out of these players on the downside of their career who do you think will be First Ballot HOFers.
Tom Glavine, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, Mariano Rivera, Roger Clemens, Frank Thomas, Julio Franco, etc. Feel free to add your own players as you wish.

Yes, Jordan was a great player. I do not however think he was the greatest. I always hear about people saying nobody did more for the game than he did. In the late 70's the NBA was going bankrupt. The ABA already folded and interest in basketball was at an all time low. Then Magic and Bird came into the league and took it to a whole new level. With out them two the league would have folded and there would be no Jordan.
He was the most marketed and popular player ever, but that was more the league's marketing scheme than him just being a great player.
Before you say I'm ignorant or watch him play and you will see, let me tell you I have followed basketball very closely since he has been in the league.

Dogfighting is a disgusting and apalling activity. But did anybody really think he was actually condoning it? Anybody that is a fan knows that Portis is a jokester. He stirkes me as one of those people that try to make things light. I think he was just tired of having the media convict Vick when they have no concrete proof yet. I mean I read what he said and thought nothing of it because come on its Portis. Maybe it wasnt the most PC things to say. But people are taking it way too far.

My accuracy has greatly improved but I still have trouble getting the ball all the way back to first base from the outfield.

Do you think that Dre Bly and Champ Bailey can shutdown Randy Moss and Dante Stallworth this year when the two teams face eachother.

I dont think Bailey and Bly can, Randy Moss is one of the best WR in the NFL and has great hight and good hands. Stallworth is very quick and pyshical,

Die hard pats fan.

You got pitchers that don't complete games. Back in the day you completed what you started, no matter how many innings the game went.

In the AL and the minors, pitchers don't even come to bat.

You have batters that look like halfway football players with all the body armor on and batting gloves.

Pitchers can't brushback batters anymore without getting a warning.

And if a player doesn't get paid a few extra MILLION dollars that he thinks he deserves, he can just go to another team. How can you fall in love with a player or even a team?? They'll just turn their back on you.

No wonder the great game of baseball isn't considered the national pasttime anymore, it's so diluted and watered-down.

I which I would've grown up when nothing else was important as baseball, when ballplayers were ballplayers.

Anyone else agree?

the guy hasnt won anything all year yet. he seems to be in good form. i don't blame him for losing on clay cuz its his worst surface but now to a guy ranked 75 in the world? even on clay he should win to someone that much lower than him.

I am going to have to go with Derek Jeter and Jose Reyes. Jose Reyes makes few errors, is a good hitter and is leading the MLB in stolen bases.

Derek Jeter is a legend in New York and broke a hitting record last night. He has been the life of the yankees for a very long time.

He really didn't do anything with New England, And he was taken in the first round. He never won a SuperBowl as a starter, Although he does have a ring but he was the back-up.

His career with dallas was slim and was a failure, He got benched half-way through the year.
