Not tough enough. The female body is not designed for contact sports. And for women's pro football: Women hitting other women is like, women hitting women. Might as well watch pee wee league.

There is a Womens Professional Football League in the US. It has 15 teams scattered around the country. I was on a flight once when a women's football team boarded for the flight. Some of the women were definately built like football players! But, I have never seen a game.

You can't sell professional women's football. Could you imagine what the O-line would look like on a women's football team? People would pay to have it not televised.
It's the truth.

p.s. Imagine Roseanne and Rosie O'Donnel at the center and guard positions bent over on national television.

There is plenty of women's football! There are actually three competing leagues right now, two that play in the spring and one in the fall. I played for the California Quake for three seasons.

Let me be the first to point out that the misogynistic stereotypes about women who play sports are completely false. On our team we had some gay women, plenty of straight women, some butch-looking ones, some very feminine ones. Butch-looking didn't necessarily correspond to gay, either. Kind of like the rest of the world... there are lots of people out there & we are all different.

No women's sports r popular wen u think a/b it. The sports world is pretty much dominated by men because not a lot of ppl show interest in women sports which sucks cuz there r grls who r rlly good & they choose 2 play soccer professionally n they dont even get paid 1/2 of wat men do. I watched a women's soccer game over the wk end n it was actually a good game, but i'd choose men's soccer over women's. it'd b great tho if in the future women's soccer did becum big b/c i would luv 2 b a professional soccer player

What kind of padding would be required to protect the bust area? And would it be effective enough? Can you say breast cancer or would it be swollen breasts??
A better question why isn't it on TV as much as the WNBA......
There should be beach flag womens football..... that would make pay per view money

Actually there is, its just not a national professional league.

I use to coach women tackle football and they were much easier to teach then men or boys. I have a new respect for the female athelete as well. The old the women, the stronger and in some cases faster. Men, we tend to be the opposite.
