If you want to consider the guy with the
5th most pass attempts
5th most completions
7th most passing yards
13th most passing TD's
as a bust? I would hate to see what other quarterbacks you would consider busts then?

Bledsoe is not a bust by any stretch. Before the injury that put Brady (who is overrated) in the driver seat, Bledsoe was one of the best QB's during that era of football. He always had a little problems with that int ratio cause he was too fearless to throw in tough spots for his own good. I'll go out on a limb and say that if Tom Brady never sets foot on that football field the New England Patriot would be just as dangerous and would have won at least one Super Bowl with Bledsoe instead of Brady, I guess though Brady proved to be a smarter QB(still overrated and underrated at the same time and still a system QB nonetheless). I'm from Miami, I watched Bledsoe twice, maybe three times a year, at worst he was one of the better QB's in the league, he was on a record setting pace hie first 5-6 years in the league. You don't go to 4 Pro Bowls being an average QB.
Bledsoe was close to becomeing a Hall Of Fame QB if he stayed in NE.

It's very easy to criticize. The fact is that most QBs will never be a regular starter for an NFL team. Even fewer will win a conference championship an go to the Superbowl. We should make sure we don't forget that Bledsoe led the Patriots to an AFC championship and played in SB XXXI. I'd say his best days are long over, but you can't call his career a bust.

You can't consider him a bust at any level. Bledsoe was asked to throw the ball until his arm fell off early on in New England and he did it well. Some will look at his INT's and say he wasn't that good, but when you throw 50 to 60 times a game, you will eventually see one land on the other teams hands. Drew broke all of Jim Kelly's records in one year in Buffalo, and lets not forget that the Pat's claimed they had so much faith in Bledsoe's ability that he was given that 100 million dollar deal and then shipped out the next year after he got hurt. He was a great QB and he was one of the best pocket passers we will ever see.

Actually I think he has a shot to be a HOFer. But he won't be elected because of the high # of interceptions.
Not winning a SB doesn't make him a bust.
He was one of the elite QBs in his prime. The Pats were nothing when he came to the league and he took them to the Super Bowl in 1996, he lost against a primed Brett Favre and a powerful Packers defense.
He went to the Pro Bowl 4 times, he also led his team to 30+ 4th quarter comebacks. Even more comebacks than Joe Montana.
He just became old and that's why he lost staring jobs, but he was one of the best during the 90's.

not a bust....just too overhyped.
he was a first overall pick. he was the basis for the patriots 2001 season, he just got screwed over when he got injured and brady came in and did as well as he did (i dont think the patriots wouldve won that super bowl without brady but we'll never know)
it was when he went to dallas that his career went down. he just wasnt surrounded by the right personel to succeed.
hes still top 10 all time in yards so he was a decent quarterback, he just hit sum bumps in the road

Besides Brett farve was there another playmaking qb in the late nineties that carried a crappy team to the playoffs time and time again. It wasn't until the turn of the millenium he played on a decent team. The guy was one of the top five Qb's of the ninety's probally number 5 but after steve young troy aikman brett farve and jon elway your in good company with all of them hall of famers. And he did get a ring in the end. And seriously who else would you have up there. Montana was injured and old, simms is joke(not to mention the worst broadcaster in football) Testverde? like common

Go take a look at his career stats before you ask a dumbass question like that. Bledsoe's numbers are borderline Hall of Fame. 44,611 passing yards, 251 TDs makes him a bust? NOOB.
