Russell Martin is in his second season after being called up during the season last year. Because of the talent of the NL rookies last year Martins accomplishments took a back seat to some of the other guys. This year having started the season in the majors has shown that not only can he put up numbers 32 Rbis a .318 ave and 8 stolen bases as a catcher EIGHT! Aside from his offense is his ability to lead a veteran staff that has come to respect him. He has become a franchise player for one of the biggest clubs in under a yearand is poised to enter the ranks with Mike Piazza as a great Dodgers catcher

Playing in Tampa it's not hard to overlook BJ Upton of the D-Rays. He's in his second full season after coming up as a major prospect and struggling. He has power, speed, and was well over .300 last time I checked. They're trying him in the outfield after a shaky defensive start at 2B. This guy may be the second coming of Jose Reyes by next year.

Chris B. Young - outfielder for the Diamonbacks. He looks like a young Barry Bonds from his Pirate days. Potential 30-30 guy.

Howie Kendrick of the Angels.
He plays on a loaded team of infielders and has commanded the 2B position even when he comes back from the DL, yesterday.
He will be a beast soon. Think Soriano at 2B, with a little less power and better fielding!

Carlos Gomez on the mets just came up and will play in the outfield for the Mets someday. He is 6'4'' tall with pop in his bat and with more speed than Reyes, he will be a stud for years to come. Your three picks have been playing and would not fall into the category of not knowing who they are. Great question!!

Brandon Inge 3B for the Tigers. He makes some errors due to his great range, but he makes a lot of difficult plays, and has incredible arm strength. He also has good power at the plate with speed as well.

DeSalvo for the Yankees. The right handed pitcher that no one cared was coming up to help out the staff and he pitches 6 1/3 of beautiful baseball instead of poster boy Phillips who pitched like poop and injured himself.
