I don't think Bailey and Bly can either. Stallworth is one of the fastest WR in the NFL, and cannot be stopped. Moss is also very fast and is a BIG pyhsical WR who can make tough catches, Some people quistioned his ability to make catches in the Middle but, suprisingly he proved them wrong last year.

First of all we are not talking about Moss 4 years ago, we are talking about cry baby/quitter Moss. He is NOT one of the best WR's anymore. While Stallworth is quick he is NOT physical he is a deep threat. Do you watch the NFL?? I think that Bly/Bailey could hold these guys in check. The Broncos/Pats game won't be won or lost there anyway. As someone said earlier the Broncos just find a way to beat the Patriots usually by running the ball early and often. And now they have Travis Henry.

Shutdown is an awfully strong word so I won't say yes to that. That being said I think they will do very well against them. They don't play during the regular season so they could only meet in the playoffs. Using past performances as indicators (which is what fans are basing the wr corp performance on), Stallworth stands a very good chance of being injured at that point, Denver has done well well against the Pats the last several years, Moss will be nothing new to Bailey as they have played in the same division that last couple of years, they would either play in Denver in December(disadvantage passing game), or New England in December (disadvantage passing game), on top of all of that Denver added another pro bowl corner. I believe Denver matches up very well against the Pats.

No, because while Bailey and Bly are really good Moss has good speed and amazing height. Stallworth is quick and a good route runner. Also, there are other WRs on the team that other teams have to look for, like Brown. While hes getting old hes still a big threat if hes not watched. Brady can get it right where all the WRs want it and they can catch it and run. The pats are unstoppable this year.

I am a Patriots fan and love that they are trying to get some big names at WR for a change but lets be realistic.Whats the chances that Stallworth will stay healthy all year and whats the chance Moss won't get himself in trouble with his mouth and get benched or even cut by the team for it.I would love to see them both have a big year and take the superbowl but the chances of keeping them both on the field for an entire season i think is slim. With that said if they do both stay on the field i think the chances of Bailey and Bly shutting them down is about as good as the chances of them getting burned by them, about 50/50.Patriots are still going to get shut down sometimes, every team has their good days and bad days no matter what their personnel.

They seemed to do just fine last year with Gaffney n Caldwell. I don't really understand the power trip of getting Moss after signing Stallworth. Nothing at all to worry about Pat's fans. Seems like emperor Bellichik has convinced Kraft to buy quite a super bowl team. But hey, I honestly couldn't think of a better place to play for less as a premiere player :-).

No I can't see any teams beating the Pat's receivers this year and don't forget, they will be lining up with 4,,,yes,,, 4 ,,,receivers on quite a few plays and with big Ben Watson at tight end and Muroney running the ball,,,,just how can you defend against them this year ??? Tom will have at least 5 guys to throw the ball to on every down and run the ball a few times just to take break and rest his arm!! The Pat's are going to set more NFL Records this year and don't be surprised to see them set the most yards receiving and completions this year. Also,it won't be all Moss and Stallworth just check out the teams roster,,,it's got SUPER BOWL written all over it in bold letters.!!

No. they can't shutdown the patriots. You forget that those two receivers weren't even on the team last year, which leaves tom Brady with... oh no... his best returning receiver to throw to. That was sarcasm in case you couldn't tell. The bottom line is that the patriots couldn't get shut down in the past when didn't even have top receivers for Brady to throw to, now with the additions of Stallworth and Moss, I don't see Brady sitting back and watching a Superbowl go to waste.

Easily. Stallworth sucks. He has had one good season, and never did well in the cold weather. Moss, if his head is on straight might be a bigger problem, but since it has not been since 1999, I don't see them presenting much of a problem, especially if they have to play them in Denver.
And yes I do know a lot about sports, probably more than you do, but since I don't obsess over overrated "dynasties" (whose QB has never led a game winning drive in which he THREW the game winning pass, or led a SB record drive for a touchdown, beat TWO HO QBs by a combined 93-26, or posted an 11:0 SB TD/INT ratio) and whose team is a real dynasty because it actually won their games BIG and small. Any team that's best claim to fame is that they beat Kurt Warner, Jake Delhomme and Donovan McNabb but got absolutely HAMMERED by McMahon and Favre tells me that all things being equal, Tom Brady's accomplishments pale in comparison to true HOFer like Favre, Montana (especially Montana), AIkman and Young. Say that he won more title than everyone but Aikman and Montana, and I will show you that the reason is because the competition he played against in the Super Bowl was never more than middle of the road to a flameout to fairly consistent. On the other hand, Montana-led teams beat Marino and Elway teams by an AVERAGE score of 46.5-13.0; that Aikman twice beat another HOFer in Jim Kelly, and that Young was stunted by the fact that he had Montana in front of him in SF and was playing against Favre and Aikman during his prime. Who were the QBs in the AFC in their prime that Brady has faced OTHER than Manning?? Nobody. He also has never beaten a QB that will be more than a footnote in history.
Lastly, Mr. Bandwagon fan (cuz its obvious you don't know anything about Pats football before 2000), did you know that your team's record is 3-2 in the super bowl and yet they have a LOSING point differential (-41pts)? You realize that it took the Vikings, and Bills, too 3 SBs before they had lost by a total of 50 points--unlike your Pats who accomplished this "feat" in just 2 appearances (46-10 and 35-21= -50).
The point is that NE does not have the best team in football, period. They have the best team in the AFC East period, that's all. They certainly don't have the horses on offense to keep up with the Colts, and their defense, while improved still won't be able to match up with the Bolts' either. I love you forgot mention those two facts. I mean, if Maroney is so much better than Addai, why did he not have more rushing yards than Addai? They both split time with other RBs, and yet if Maroney so much better and Dillon on such a downslope in his career, why did Maroney NOT get more yards rushing and receiving than Addai? It's not like the Pats had the best WRs, so why not feed him the ball more? Maybe it's because, as talented as Maroney is, he was not and is not a substantial upgrade from Addai. And your slot receiver is barely taller than my sister, and won't be making the same type of impact that a guy like Stokeley did or Gonzalez will make in IND. And if you think that Rivers is not the best young QB in the AFC right now, you are an idiot. Young in TN might have more overall talent, but right now Rivers is the best young QB in the game, and he proved that by leading his team to 14 wins as as first year starter, something Tommy never did, and never will do, anyway.
Pats are a good team, but they are CERTAINLY NOT the best team in the NFL. I believe that team is in Indianapolis. You know the team that DID NOT choke away the BIGGEST LEAD IN AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME HISTORY?
And so yes, they can match up with them, and in order to Stallworth to be a factor he will have to stay healthy for the second year in a row, something he has never shown the ability to do anyway.
The biggest problem you will have to address in that scenario, or at least be hopeful for happening, is that Maroney is the stud tailback you think he is. If he can run for big yardage all year, then the Broncos will have respect that run, and that will open things in the passing game. But I don't see them being able to do that anyway. Consider the fact that the Broncos 16-3 against your Pats in the last decade and I think it is pretty obvious that the Broncos will not be afraid of your team, or your new WRs. You only have one legitimate receiving threat, and does not work against good defenses, which the Broncos have.
