What are the rules for allowing a walkover win versus forcing somebody to play a new opponent as fill-in for the person he was supposed to play? Does it have to do with the player physically being out on the court, trying to make a go of it, and not being able to play? In that case it would be a walkover? I am just asking because in the Sony Ericsson tournament Philipp Kohlschreiber was supposed to play Sergio Roitman in the first round, but Kohli apparently had an upset stomach and Alejando Falla was allowed to take his place as a lucky loser. Falla went on to beat Roitman and also beat Haas in the second round. But why was Roitman not awarded a walkover win over Kolhschreiber? How was that determined?
