The Rock in close 1A 1B between Triple H.

The Rock was the most entertaining champion. He always put other guys over well like Brock. Even watching the ways he would do things like take a Stone Cold Stunner. He made the move look even more effective than most other people did. Mic skills was the best. His extended segments was the best....we all loved Rock this is your life...."You want to serve The Rock a great big piece of that poo-tang pie."

He adjusted well as a heel and a face. He also adjusted well to the crowd. Getting booed at two WM's when fans cheered for Austin and Hogan over him.

Triple H I could see the agruement for him being #1. Besides the fact he ways almost always the face I can't really say the same for Stone Cold, although he did do well as a heel. Hogan no because he only took advantage of the cartoon era of wrestling.

Close call, but because of entertainment value I give The Rock the slight edge over Triple H.

Best ever? Then it must be Stone Cold Steve Austin. He had the gimmick, the look ,the smarts& the attitude. He could wrestle a bit as well! He could brawl all night & still come back at you. Some of the best WWE matches ever were his defences v Rock Foley or Undertaker. The Attitude era when he was champion is the most popular era in WWE history.Check out the reception he got when he came back to Raw the other week!

The best champion to ever hold a title in the WWF/WWE?

Who: Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels

Why: They were/are over with the crowd because of sheer ability on the microphone and in the ring. Bret held a ton of titles from the beginning of his career to the end. He was an amazing face and a very effective heel. I can say the exact same about Shawn except that his career isn't over.

Anyone who says Cena or Batista should have their eyes gouged out. At least pick someone with more than four basic moves!

Unfortunately WWE, seems to be heading back to the dark days of the early 1990's. John Cena is a good athlete, whereas others before have been juiced up talentless monsters. In my opinion WWE has not had good champions since Stone Cold and The Rock.

Even though he was WWE champion in one of the worst wrestling era's (1993-1997, prior to the attitude era) I still consider him the greatest WWE Champion ever, that man is Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

Why: He had some of the greatest matches of that era (ie. Summerslam 94 vs Owen Hart", he had the first ladder match in the WWE against Shawn Micheals for the IC title, the match with the 123 Kid from Raw in Dec 95, the Iron Man Match against Shawn Micheals from Wrestlemania 12, Subission match against Austin Wrestlemania 13, and he gave us one of the biggest moments in wrestling history at Survivor Series 97, the screwjob).

and also because he is:

"The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!!!!!!!!!!"

Short Answer Bret Hart The Best there is , The Best there was and The Best there ever will be.

He only slightly beats out The Rock in my opinon Because of the technical in ring ability vs The Rocks Mic Skills

Rey Mysterio because he was the smallest rayal rumble winner and he was in the rumble the longest of any superstar and also becasue he was the smallest world champion and he dedicated his rumbe performance to Eddie Guerrero ( Rest In Piece) and also because rey mysterio is an underdog and made his dreams come true and because he rocks and he makes WWE more entertaining an dim happy he stayed in S mackdonw so when he returns smackdown won't be as boring as it is now....Smackdonw is sort of good but with Rey Mysterio in it then SMackdonw is much more better and i hope Oscar( Rey Mysterio) will win the World Heavywieght Championship belt ( title ) again.

For sure its Hulk Hogan...but I could go either way its either Hogan or Bret Hart.....You can easily make a case for bret, HBK,, austin and rock.....never will it be Cena, Undertaker, HHH, or Angle...

Why:Hogan was the WWF and made them a household name, but....Bret and Shawn kept them from going out of Biz, and then Austin put the WWF back on top again in 1998 along with the Rock also in their and Foley.....and now their trying to make Cena act on the mic like the Rock and Batista is like the Ultimate Warrior of the 2000's..... man I hate this era..... Imagine when Taker and HBK retire... its over man....maybe Razor Ramon can save us .....lol

In terms of drawing money/ratings/popularity over the course of his reign then Steve Austin.

In terms of the above but on a more long term scale, Hulk Hogan (whom I can't stand, but let's be honest).

In terms of title length, Bruno Sammartino (duh).

In terms of having the best matches as champion, Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels.

In terms of being booked to look dominant as champion, Hart, Bruno or Hogan for varying reasons.

And in terms of being downright entertaining, The Rock.

If you wanted a total package of all the above categories, then I'd go for Steve Austin.
