#1~ Drivers sweat a lot during a race, and can easily get dehydrated. Therefore, you will not need to go.
#2~ They are in the car 3 and a half to 4 hours. I don't know about you, but I can much longer than that without having to pee!
#3~ If they DO have to go, they will go in their firesuit, or even their empty water bottle. The heat in the car causes it to dry quickly.

We get this question just about every week. A lot of the time due to the water they lose during the race, remember, there is no A/C in these cars, a lot of the time they just don't have to go. Other times, like Tony Stewart a couple years ago when he had a stomach problem, in the suit is the only option. For the most part though, they don't have to go. Think about it, could you not have to go to the bathroom for 3-4 hours if you were in a heat box, concentrating on going 180-200 and working your butt off just to make sure you keep even with the water you are losing through sweat.

They don't go to the bathroom... they go in their suit.... if they have too. However it's not very likely due to dehydration and pre-race nervousness. Some racers will tell you they have to pee several times before a race without any results. In other words... they start out with an empty bladder.

When the urge hit's, they just do it in their firesuit. Remember when Tony Stewart had a stomach viris, he won the race and told them to wait till he got cleaned up before talking to the press.

They just have to go where they sit. The suit is already covered in sweat, so it probably doesn't affect them too much. However, I couldn't imagine being a racer and having the runs...That would be bad.
