I'm planning to run in the Marine Corps Marathon and noticed there is a policy that states "If you deferred your entry in 2006, you will receive a guaranteed entry into the 2007 event this winter." This will be my first marathon; will I be able to participate?

i know that alot of people here hate the shootout, so i think that i might have found a way to make it a litle better.
instead of it being one guy against a goalie, make it one offender against a defender and a goalie
the offeseman gets one shot and one rebound
it has to be done within 20 seconds
each player can shoot once and defend once. then after the whole team cycles through, he can go again.
it would be a 3 round thing, followed by 1 round.
i think that this would give the people who like shootouts and people who like traditional play a compromise
what do you guys think? is it a good idea or am i being stupid?

Actually at the time of second world war,World cup was organised at USSR and few teams were available so Indian team called to attend the tournament but due to players wishing to play without shoes so they send back without playing any match.
