He's one of the best ever. DW (okay that sounds like a shoe warehouse) may become MJ some day... but Mike is still the ruler by which all greats will be measured. (I'm sure Dywane wants to be "like Mike")
But just as a crown prince might become king, he also might become Charles. (of England) The verdict is still out on Wade, he may someday become great, but there's a lot of room between great (i.e. John Stockton) and what Jordan became.
Jordan brought people into the sport who would never otherwise be interested in basketball. Jordan took basketball from America's 4th sport (behind baseball and hockey... and even maybe somewhat boxing when Tyson was still young) to our 2nd favorite sport. Unless Wade can single-handedly make the NBA more popular than NFL Football, which will never happen, he can't be considered in MJ's league.

Given the generation gaps it will be hard to ever truly compare MJ with any current player in the NBA. Jordan is and in my opinion, the best player the league will ever see. No player did more for the game and for the fans than MJ. For this current generation however I think that D-Wade is in the top 3 players.

Wade is arguably the best player currently. Jordan, without question, is the best player and the better of the two, at least until Wade does spetacular things over many more seasons and gets a few more rings.
