I didn't have them going far, but the first round? Didn't see that coming.

I also didn't think they would make it past the second round b/c they were much like Kentucky in having a crappy year. I just didn't see them losing in the first round. It by all means didn't break my bracket.

I wasn't surprised at all, the surprise was how highly they were ranked in the tourney just because of their name and history. They had a lot of losses to be a #6 seed and were actually still ranked in the top 25 and had a losing record in their own conference. Just look at how many ACC teams were in the tourney and out of seven of them there are only 1 left!!! Seems like they are always talked about more than other conferences and granted they are normally strong, this year and last year the SEC had less teams and are the strongest!! Seems like most critics look over the SEC and although I am a Kentucky Wildcat fan I still look at who is the better team and I think that Florida will go all the way again this year. My prediction is Florida vs. North Carolina for the final game.

Believe it or not I actually picked them to lose in the 1st round against VCU. I felt all season long that Duke's guard play was just to weak. Paulus has heart but little skill and Scheyer looks like he gets nervous when teams pressure the ball. They are young and did alot better then they should have but they are not good enough to make a deep run in the tourney. Lets face it Paulus is no WOJO.

I picked them to beat VCU, but not to go any further. It is a mild surprise that they lost in the first round, but not a huge one. This Duke team is not on the same level as those of recent years.

I am a huge Duke fan and I had them winning it all. It really sucked but we didn't play good all year so it wasn't too surprising. It was a repeat from '95; loosing first round of ACC then the tourney. I don't hold any grudge against VCU, they flat out out played Duke. Maybe next year will be better? From what I hear a very nice class incoming.

Not terribly. Duke is on a down year and their talent doesn't mesh nor is it up to Duke standards. VCU is a HOT team who was peaking at the right time. I had the feeling that they were sensing blood and they seized on it! I had picked VCU, so it was pleasing to me. That was one of the best games I've seen so far this year, though.

Didn't surprise me. They've pretty much sucked all year. It used to be that all you would hear in round ball was Duke and Kentucky and now look at them.

I saw Duke losing. Partially because of over-confidence, and partially because they don't have as much speed as VCU. VCU and Duke both have pretty much the same talent, it is just that VCU is faster. Also, they have a clone of Dwayne Wade on their team, Maynor. Remember, college basketball is a guards game.

Not really, I had them beating VCU, but going out in the next round. The problem is not youth and inexperience, as Coach K said. I think the problem is team chemistry.

No surprise at all... Duke got their seed based off the fact that they are Duke. They didn't have a stellar season and definitely should have had a double digit seed.

yea im a duke fan and I knew it would be a tough game just was expecting them to pull it out. I don't see how they kept letting maynor drive and pull up. He did that the whole game and no one would d up and step in front of him. I thought they had a shot at the sweet 16 but that is about as far as I thought they could make it.
