I like your squad, Cantu was a smart choice I think he will rebound from last year , 3B you are set same at 1st and sp. 14 teams I know that you are going to be week somewhere, If Prior can make it back then you are beyond good at SP. I like Wood because I believe he will end up being the Cub Closer. See if Linebrook , or Wheeler are available or can be had on the cheap side . Overall you did a great job though. Especially if Alou has a big year surrounded by all those other big NY bats. Is there another outfielder you can grab though just in case Roberts has a off year or Alou who is older gets hurt, Maybe a Sean Greene who can back up 1b also?

1. Offense is a very solid mix of speed and power that you want. For a 14 team league, this is well put together. Chris Young is a great breakout candidate, and Cantu is an EXCELLENT bounceback choice.

2. Pitching is a bit of a different story. You have a shaky lot there. Willis has ace stuff, but who knows what version of him shows up? Bonderman is good as well, but not an ace you want to lean on. The bench has several interesting ones. I think Arroyo regresses some but is solid. Schilling is too old. Burnett is a decent breakout choice. Cabrera strikes me as a guy that will never harness his talent. Prior is worthless. Don't let the name fool you.

3. Relief pitchers are shaky, but that's ok. Just keep an eye on the waiver wire. If you can still get him, Howry is a better choice than Wood as next in line when (not if) Dempster loses his job.

All in all, this is a good solid team for 14 team leagues. If possible, get a top flight ace to solidify your staff and you should be set. You need someone solid, not speculative. Peavy would be ideal, but perhaps too expensive for you. And if D-Train gets back to '05 form, you're gold.

Good luck!

Decent team with a 14 team league. Being a Cubs fan I like your Prior & Wood gambles. I hope it pans out.

Personally I think you should get Durham in your starting line-up somewhere. I don't know off the top of my head where he qualifies but I would say get him at either 2B or OF for Cantu or Alou.
