I've prayed for a mate in my life, and I keep bumping into the same guy over and over again, and my heart jumps each time, but I really think about it. Is this the one that God is sending into my life?
He seems like a jerk at times, but I can't help but liking him in my heart. I know it's not right, but your thoughts?

I don't want to upset anyone but I'm 19 and I think that I should be able to choose whether or not I go to church. We don't go very often only when my grandmother invites us to go with her. However, I always feel awkward, out of place, and slightly like laughing at everyone. I don't know whether or not I believe what is being said and I don't think it should be forced upon me, but I feel like my mom isn't really giving me a choice. My mom is very over-bearing and loves to control every aspect of my life and she NEVER takes anything lightly. What should I do?

I got alot of responses in a previous Q that there is proof there was a man named jesus who preached 2000 years ago. I know of two Roman documents that have been widely disproved. So believers what else is there.
Oh and non-believers feel free to say none. Most likely I won't get an legit answers so I'll pick one of those as best answer. (At least I'm honest right)

I'm a Catholic. I've always learned that with Judaism, the goal is not to convert all of humanity to Judaism; instead, to be righteous, gentiles should adhere to the Seven Laws given by God to Noah.

Is this true? Is there more to it? Thanks!

No sarcastic answers please...What are your thoughts about when you take your last breath on this earth and you do not just go into the ground, but you stand before God and he judges you. Keep in mind that once you are there your choice to deny Him on earth causes Him to deny you in that situation.

If you answer 'no' to this question, then you must be one or more of these things:
1. Ignorant;
2. Worst case of delusion;
3. Blind or blinded by faith;
4. Too young too think just yet;
5. Inexperienced;
6. God themselves;
7. Atheist;
8. Add it yourself.

I know it since I was a Protestant and I couldn't help but doubt the bible, the priests, the religion, and God...all the time while forcing myself to believe.

What makes you doubt your religion or bible or...God? Why?

RAmen~!

i was educated in the catholic school system, but remember little of st. augustine, the 1st doctor of the church, a brilliant theoligist. i have prayed for faith every day for about 4 years, the answer to date has been no. didn't st. augustine's mother pray for his conversion for 20 years, or at least a long time? didn't he say something to the effect of the human soul is restless until he fills the void with god. i know i am butchering this saying. anyone out there who can help me with this? if it did take 20 years for st. augustine to find his faith, maybe there is hope for me...
