I released my feces in a cup, sealed it, put a hole in the side, and lit my dookie on fire and then smoked it. it got me really high, and my pet lion, Craig, told me it was sinful. Is he telling the truth?

I don't care what you believe or don't believe. i want to find a good translation for serious bible study - lots of references, historical data, footnotes, and anything else conducive to achedemic study of the bible.

Why do you think this particular version is good?

Thanks.

Well I want to say Thanks for ALL who did. He was in the hospital all week with pneumonia and fluid in his lungs and around his heart. Through prayer he is much better, with a clean bill of health and home just now. May I thank you on behalf of my family?

Im a young virgin..i remain one because its a big deal to my mother and I dont like her seeing disapointed or lying to her..but it practically means nothing to me besides bragging rights. It means nothing to me anymore..Everything in this life created by people means nothing to me..The idea of virginity came from an opinion of another person and now its eternally widespread. It just makes me depressed because Im following the idea of another person instead of my own because I dont want to betray anyone.. Im in a dilema..caught between 2 conflicts..betraying my mother and betraying myself.

Whats the point of keeping your viriginity just so you can lose it to someone who your probably not going to feel the same about forever? It has to go sometime so why hold on to it?Whats the point in that really? Honestly i really want to know
Why hold on to your virginity?

I'm a Christian, but I grew up Catholic and swtiched to non-denominational. But I've always wondered why Protestants had such a big problem with transubstantiation (when God performs a miracle through the priest, bringing the presense of Jesus into the bread and wine - body and blood of Christ). I mean, can't God do anything he wants??? Last time I checked nothing is impossible through God. I don't mean to offend anyone tho...just need some educated answers or theories. Please, no christian bashing atheists...I want to hear from Christians!

I'm talking about the Burning Times here, which can range from 500 AD to the present (depending on the source). Do you hold the Abrahamic Religions totally responsible for the almost total loss of our practices, and ways of life that have forced us to reconstruct everyting, based on snippets and tidbits from here and there? Do not only hold the people who actually committed these atrocities responsible but hold every single member of those groups as being responsible? In other words, do you hate them for what they've done to us over the ages? Do you KNOW that Witches and other Pagans continue to be killed and tortured in THIS day and age. The Burning Times continues even in this day and age in remote parts of the world such as Africa and Southeast Asia. Additionally, there ARE folks, even right here in the U.S. of A. who would like to return to those days of torture and killing in the name of their God? How do you feel about that?

What was taken out of the bible? You have to know by now that many books were taken out and if that is so, then how can you trust what was left in? IIf you live your lives according to this book, why then do you seem to not care what was removed? What if what was removed changes everything and you are doing things all wrong? I am always so curious about that. Is it your determination that you cannot be wrong? Seriously, I am just curious and I hope I dont get a bunch of Gospel or Scripture back because I will be very dissapointed in you.

The Absolute is the totality of things. Why do we associate that with something finished, static? like absolute morals in religions? Even if one could know the absolute, why should that imply that one is finished or that one knows all, could the absloute not also mean that you realize that itself is in change?
So that there can never be any perfect understanding, never any end to reach.

Would that destroy the absolute?
or at least the absolute mentality that many religions especially embody.

I mean religions speak of the absolute, as something independent of the universe or "outside" of it. How can one have such an understanding and be sure that it is not an idea?

Sorry english is not my mother tounge?

pretty self explanitory, what has been the one most beneficial thing and the one least beneficial thing in your spiritual journey. Atheists answer as well. This isnt about religion unless you want it to be, it is about spirituality and where you are today.
