an experience that made you change your mind and start believing in god, would you then try and convert the rest of us atheists.
concidering how you now feel about people trying to convince you fiction is fact, but also concidering that if you got turned to the dark side it would have to be something pretty impressive that did it, would you try and preach? even if you had no proof.

This is obviously hyperthetical (there is no god) but use your imagination, what would you do?

"It's a well-known fact that if you're set upon honor, honor slips around you and heads for where the daisies grow. And the reverse holds true. If you avoid honor, honor tails after you, begging: 'Dopey! What are you running away for? Take a little bit, at least.'"

This year I bought a multimedia life sized beautiful nativity scene to put up in my front yard. It has a sound system and a slide show in the backdrop to make it seem just like the real thing or maybe a movie scene.

The only problem is that the neighbors are complaining. They are complaining that the lighting system is supposedly too bright and that the sound track is supposedly too loud and bothering them.

The police came out and gave me a warning ticket. But I told them that I am not changing a thing and that I am standing up for my right of religious expression.

As far as I'm concerned, if these neighbors don't like it they aren't true Christians. How could anyone not appreciate the holiness and beauty of the birth scene of baby Jesus. If they don't like it they can find another neighborhood that celebrates the birth of SATAN.

What should I do?

We know christianity stole christmas, easter, and valentines from pagan holidays and rewrote them in an effort to squash other beliefs. We also know that "in god we trust" was a propaganda campaign that started well over 100 years into US history.
Has there been any recent ideas or festivals stolen by christians and rewritten to their liking?

Wouldn't it be more "biblical" (if you call yourself a christian) to operate in the higher realms that promote creativity and fair play? This is yet one of the reasons I use the term neo-christians, a ppl that are disconnected with their roots and use religion as a political shotgun...

Before you answer ask: "Name one thing that is infallible in proven existence".

1. Don't answer Coke, because not everyone loves Coke.
2. Don't answer a straight line or perfect circle; for it is a fallible creation of human perception.
(I hope you understand, if not that's also fallible.)
3. Everything ever created by a fallible being is fallible.
4. You can't count creation for it has no proven existence.

I've heard many people claim that when God was "taken out of school" that was the beginning of violence in school, shootings in particular. But there have been at least three church shootings in the US in 2007--if the other idea is true, how would you explain that?

Bible says servants and children differ nothing.
Both have to be told what to do and don't do.
Both are know nots, requiring forgive them.

Adults should put away childish things,
and teach their children to do likewise;
For a Childish-adult is an oxy-moron,
and so is Lawed-grace.

What are your thoughts on such?

I am a student, and need to work for some extra cash. I was sent by my agency to bartend and I was sent to a gay bar. I have been there a few times and the thing I like about it is that no drunk men bother me there unlike regular bars.

I do not agree with homosexuality but in the same way that I do not agree with sex outside of marriage. Both are the same in God's eyes, I think.

This quote is in the Bible "He planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death". If this is the word of God then I say yes. Do you believers not take the word of God as perfect? I f so, then the Bible is the word of God and it also must be perfect. Now I know many are trying to ban homosexuality based on Bible quotes, so why should Christians be able to pick and choose what quotes they want to enforce. If God chooses when we are born and die, then those murderers are just following Gods plan and it's not really their fault. They had no free will. The same goes for abortions, why are Christians so against them when it is God choosing the time of the babies deaths? But then also one of the Ten Commandments is thou shall not murder. Seems contradictory to me. How can the perfect words of God be contradictory though? Hmmm I wonder....

i woke up this morning at around 3 pm[needed to pee], but i have been having premonitional dreams these days and what i see scares me. so after using the bathroom,i laid on my bed and started praying, and asking God for guidance because i'm lacking in my faith[not my faith in religion but my faith in Jesus], dont ask me why because i really dont know why and this bothers me so much because i do beleive, but in the back of my head there is a voice talking saying "what if".i never had the problem when i was a kid [23 now], i dont understand why i have it now. after saying that prayer i went to bed and had the msot terrible dream, there were 3 men:one said he was Jewish, the other Muslim and the last one Christian; all 3 of them were trying to convince me to go with them, what i remember afterwards was crawling into my mother and grandmother's bed. I woke up so tired this morning but in the dream i was so disoriented. Any passages, prayers, anytihng i can do to get back on track?i do pray.

I mean I'm Catholic, I'm religious, but I'm not stupid. I learned about evolution, I learned about the big bang theory, I did well on the subjects in school, I understand them, but I don't believe them. People say that I'm not open to other people. Ha! The only people that I'm not open to are the people that aren't open to me. I'm criticized, someone came over to me and said "Religion is fake, it is faaaaaaaaaake, like I was a dog or something and I like couldn't understand him. Then he said that the people back then were on drugs and told me to stop f***ing believing. I know some people may be ignorant. But not everyone. Why do people have to be so stereotypical.

Did you ever ask yourself what those people are hiding from, with all their securdity and gates and human barriers they make in the city below in Upstate New York?
