Love conquers everything.

Yeah I think love conquers fear. Because the cause of fear is truly to hold us back from making a decision that we believe will harm ourselves. But see the thing with love is that it causes us to stop thinking about ourselves and put others before ourselves so we no longer even consider the fear stopping us from making that certain frightening decision.

Some people say that love is the opposite of fear.

There is no "conquering"...Fear merely veils Love. Fear is false; Love is true, the only Truth. It is we ourselves who must conquer (dissolve, remove) our falsity, revealing our true Source, our ground of being. I am Sirius

"Perfected" love would cast out all fear. However I don't know of anyone where its been 'perfected yet! If God's love were perfected, if you really knew God loved you, so totally loved you, that whatever and anything that may happen to you can only happen because God allows it to happen and He loves you supremely, then I don't worry about what happens to me. The confidence that comes when I know that God loves me and His love is perfected in me, I can accept what comes without fear.

Yes. The Apostle Paul said that "perfect love throws fear outside", speaking of our love for our creator.

Let me know if you need the citation. I haven't had enough coffee yet. :)

Have a great day.

Love has been known to cause fear.

Or envelope you so completly, you fear nothing but losing the love itself.

I believe so. I'm about to do something in the near future that scares the hell out of me, but I will do it because I love the woman I'm going to do it for.
