Phil 2:9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(KJV)

What hope does this prediction give those who reject Jesus?

If God said "Do not have any other Gods before Me." (Exodus 20:3) does that mean Jesus doesn't exist?

Those who believe in Creation accept the idea of an Eternal Being that put the Universe in order.

Those who accept Evolutionary Theory believe in the idea of Matter being Eternal.

How far am I off on this?

And he was excommunicated. Mussolini was an atheist. Himmler was an occultist. The SS practiced Asatru based rituals. Goebbels worshipped Hitler. Tojo was Shintoist. Franco was Catholic. The KKK is Protestant. Stalin was an atheist. What religion was Pol Pot? Is it possible that these guys had something in common besides their viewpoints on religion?

In more than once place in the Scriptures, Jesus Christ talks about his father in the sky aka his heavenly father.

Is that one of the reasons the gospels report that a number of persons viewed Jesus Christ as a bit looney - mad?

Most human beings when asked about their mothers and fathers refer to their biological parents vs storks in the sky, right?

Just curious to hear what you all think
I know there are some religious candidates... would you vote for a religious person? Why or why not?

At one point in time, I remember hearing that, supposedly, the three big religions - Christianity, Islam, and Judeism - all pray to the same God; the main reason why there are three separate religions is because they all have different beliefs about how one gets to God.

My question to you all is this:
Do you believe that all three religions follow the same God? Why or why not?

(Note: "[...] is the one true religion." does not qualify as a valid argument when standing alone. If you feel that you must make that argument, please back it up with more reasoning. Thank you.)

Compared to the outside world,(when dealing with the outside world), do you notice they are not as bright or imaginative as the "Regulars" on this R/S site?

I may be a prude, but I just got to say this or post this, (or I will bust trying to hold it back).

Wikipedia says the following:-

Thousands of displaced Kashmiri Pandits live in refugee camps even today. Their status has been described as "Refugees in their own country," and they remain the only internally displaced group within India to remain in refugee tents. Indian government statistics show that there were 55,476 registered Kashmiri Pandit families living in Jammu, 34,088 in Delhi, and 19,338 in other states receiving government support. Government-managed camps housed 5,778 families in Delhi and Jammu. The government provided monthly cash relief of $70 (Rs 3,000) and basic dry rations to the 14,869 families in Jammu. In Delhi, authorities provided $75 (Rs 3,200) to 4,100 families.

What they really need is their LAND, USURPED BY ISLAMIC TERRORISTS, BACK FOR GOOD.

The Indian people who are unaware of this gross injustice please see the following page. The whole world can read it.

all our hair, while its effin cold and have to resort to clothing, isn't that like deevolution, and while maybe because of the increase in temperatures, we could have trimmed the apeish hair with a sharp rock during summers, and keep a thick coat of hair in the winter, right?
SO since evolution is usually to improve things, hair keeps all animals warm that's why they have it, but we don't, we have to resort to clothing, BUT WHY?
THe only plausible answer to me is that JEsus made us lose our hair to show our imperfection and to show that our human race is often embarrassed to show eachother their privates it seems

Does the Old Testament suggest that twirling a rooster around or reading the entrails of a chicken can determine in advance who will win the 2008 presidential election?

Or is that something that just the Greeks or Romans used?

In which case you admit that people will lie and pretend to know things about "God" or gods which they do not know. Which means you should be calling your own religion into question too, whatever it may be.

... I don't want to start a war, as it seems the one with P&S is now over. And, to start off, I have. I reported someone who was threatening physical harm to another member. Some things I refuse to tolerate. But I'd never report someone for simply disagreeing with me. What about you?

Some people just accept and acknowledge it. It's a matter of science and knowledge not belief. You can't "believe" in evolution any more than you can believe in gravity. And gravity is a theory too.

These are clearly human emotions, any all-powerful omnipotent being would be free of such emotions. So God can be hurt? By becoming jealous of me worshiping someone else? What is he? Mercyful? Has he empathy now aswell? I suppose next he'll be getting h*ny to.

Only PEOPLE would ascribe such Human emotions to an "Omnipotent being".

James 5:19,20

Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him ; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall SAVE A SOUL FROM DEATH, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

It is clear that lies are mixed into "Christianity". Why do we tell our children that a fat man in a red suit comes down the chimmney with presents? Once they find out that it was all a lie, will they think Jesus is real or will they wonder if He was part of the fairy tale also? Why do Pastors and Priest and decons and elders say nothing to the churches to stop the worship of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Did Christ die on the cross and come back from the dead on the 3rd day or was it really the Easter Bunny? Santa and the Easter Bunny get the recognition? I told my children that Santa Claus was a made up character to keep people from knowing who Jesus Christ is. Was I wrong? How would you feel if you had a birthday party on your birthday and everyone celebrated an invisible man and a dead tree, and ignored you?

James 5: 14,15

Is any sick among you ? Let him call for the ELDERS of the church ; and let them pray over him, anointing him with OIL in the name of the Lord : And the prayer of FAITH shall save the sick, and the Lord SHALL raise him up ; and if he have committed sins, they SHALL be forgiven him.
