I myself was involved with a group that had even called themselves saints and that they are the only ones who are going to heaven and that the greatest joy for them will be watching the sinners roast in hell.To my mind this is totally ridicules and selfish.People everywhere must awaken up to the reality that the sons of men are forever one in spirit and that there is nothing in this world that can separate us from our high source from which we all came.We are all on a very long journey towards manifesting our inner divinity right here on the physical plane and thus establishing the kingdom of souls in our midst.A new and glorious civilization is about to be constructed under the wise influence of the World Teacher who is now at this time in the world of men.

I am sorry, but your question sounds more like a statement--a very negative statement. Religion is a very important part of people's lives. If you had a bad experience in one denomination--find another--but when looking for a church--keep in mind that people are people--no one is perfect. At least they are trying to be good, by seeking a group (religion/higher power) for guidance. Move on and let go . . .

Je suis embarras par les choisies i'm embarrassed by making use of the choises. it is annoying to %.,surprisingly out of maximum of communities(somewhat Fundamentalist Protestant communities) that intentionally misrepresent many of the others and soeagerly and smugly damn all non-whatevers. i understand amazing and loving Babdists besides as particularly nasty and ignorant and smug ones yet I even have on no account discovered a team of individuals of any variety that did no longer have the two the former and the latter. I do agree that their anthropology(view of the human) and their sola fideist view of salvation carry approximately open and heat perspectives of "the folk who do no longer believe purely as we do"

I think that's a rather large "tarring brush." Could I be a Southern Baptist? Oh, my no ... their theological interpretations give me hives. But I think the "evangelicals" -- who declare themselves to be non-denominational but are actually one huge denomination, in my view -- are far more disturbing than the Southern Baptists.

No, they are not. I know many Southern Baptists. They are kind, good people who would do anything to help anyone.
You are an intolerant, prejudiced boor.

I hear that quite a bit, but then I just read Matthew 5:11 and realize where this hate is really coming from, and count my blessings because of it.

They are down on the low end of the pole, but not as low as the Catholic Church though.
