Q: If God said "Do not have any other Gods before Me." (Exodus 20:3) does that mean Jesus doesn't exist?

Answer: Jesus is the God that said "Do not have any other Gods before me."

Who else did you think said it? Jesus is our Creator, or Savior, and our Judge. Who else but our Creator would have had enough desire to suffer in the Garden? Who else would be qualified to judge us besides that person who suffered all the pain?

Your question reveals a lack of understanding of the things that have been, things that are, and things that will be - or in other words, truth. Your questions should be about finding where truth is, and where you can learn it, rather than asking questions based on incorrect principles.

The correct understanding of God is that God is a team of players, much like the Miami Heat is a team of players. On the team of God, there are currently three major players, each with his own unique role.

Heavenly Father is the creator of all things spiritual and retains stewardship over them, yet requires all men to approach him "in the name of his Son" who is our Mediator between Heaven Father and us.

Jesus Christ is the creator of all things physical, and has stewardship over them. Before Jesus was born and given a name in mortality, he was and still is called Jehovah - "The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." And the righteous "House of Israel" (the family of "Jacob," who was later given the name Israel by an angel) are his covenant people.

The Holy Ghost is the third player on the team of God. His role is to testify of truth - things as they were, as they are, and as they are to come - and to be a comforter by helping us remember the feelings we have received when we were prepared to feel his testimony of God (collectively speaking) in our lives.

This is God. Three separate roles given to three separate people, or commonly described as "personages," since the Holy Ghost does not have a physical body at this time. But obviously, Jesus does, ever since his resurrection. And it is believed that Heavenly Father does as well, though there is nothing in Biblical scripture to "prove" it.

Of course, there are many willing to preach to you the philosophies of men mingled with scripture, and in their zeal they will completely disregard the order of God, preaching to you nonsense and babbling on about their traditions, yet never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. And, never really getting you to come to a knowledge of the truth either.

And it looks like, at this time, you are confused with your understanding of what God is, because you have been listening to the wrong source to learn of It. So keep searching for the right source first.

It means there is only ONE God. However, there are three persons in ONE God. The second person of the trinity is Jesus. He is truly God (divine nature) AND man (human nature).

Jesus isn't revered as "God"...or "a God"...he is said to be the "son of God" prophesied since the time of Moses as the messiah or savior of mankind...

Worshiping pagan gods would be putting other gods before God...

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Neither does "God."

Edit: Atom the Mormon: Here's a clue for you: You don't have a monopoly on "truth." You have "faith," which is absolutely not the same thing. Why don't you just admit that you're acting on sheer faith and faith alone? Your arrogance is showing.
