In more than once place in the Scriptures, Jesus Christ talks about his father in the sky aka his heavenly father.

Is that one of the reasons the gospels report that a number of persons viewed Jesus Christ as a bit looney - mad?

Most human beings when asked about their mothers and fathers refer to their biological parents vs storks in the sky, right?

I'd say that's true.... I know that if I encounter someone today who said he was the son of God, I say he was pretty wacko -- and it wouldn't take me more than a minute to find several by-standers who would agree to my opinion.

If Jesus did, in fact, exist as a walking talking person who claimed that he was the son of God, he probably was called a looney quite frequently.... and "yes" rightly so.

Jesus made some amazing claims. If you actually look into it, you MUST conclude one of three things:
1 - He's really who He said He is.
2 - He's looney.
3 - He's a liar.
Anybody who says that He was just a "good man", but not God in the Flesh fits into either 2 or 3 themselves.....

Jesus referred to God as His Father because He was sent here to do His Fathers 'work. Back then they thought He was doing blastphemy because He considered Himself to be in God and God in Him. Joseph had nothing to do with Jesus conception so he wasn't the father. He only stayed with Mary, the mother, and took care of her until Jesus was born and then they had a regular marriage. Until then he had not known Mary because the Scripture fortold of the Messiah being born of a virgin and if Joseph had slept with her, then she wouldn't have been a virgin. So Mary was His mother and God was His Father.

No, He was not.

Jesus was not totally human. He never referred to parents as "storks in the sky."
That's ridicuolous as well as a lie.

You should look up the writings of C.S. Lewis on the subject.
