The question has to be a clear-cut violation of Y!A rules before I hit the report button, which isn't very often. I've reported questions that were obscene, threatening to another participant, or extremely racist.
Other than that, no, I don't.

I tend to give bad answers a "thumbs down" because they're stupid but they're not VIOLATIONS of YA, so why report them? If someone asks a question you disagree with or is insensitive that's NO reason to report them, if it's not directly offensive to a single person. I once had a question erased for asking a question about a show on PBS dealing with McCain followers calling H. Clinton a B##ch, (which is not too offensive for PBS) spelling it with the blocked out letters so not to offend anyone with language. Now, the person who reported me should not be on YA, because they are harming the conversation here, but would I report them? no. But, unlike them, I'm not a jerk.

I've reported two people:
A 13year old saying they wanted to lose their virginity but still stay "saved" and wanted to meet someone that could help. I figured that one needed to be shut down for several reasons due to age, wanting sexual contact and being a general idiot.
The second one was someone that has declared "war" on all atheists, implying physical harm and then taking up about two screens with nonsense letters to take up space and be annoying. There was just enough of a threat to be beyond annoying.

I absolutely report racial prejudice, physical violence and sexual abuse toward a minor (or anyone else). There are young kids on this site and as much as I can be, I am protective of what they see. I would never report someone for disagreeing with me. That would be half the people on the site!!!

I've reported people who abuse the site by writing nonsense or gibberish, or just entering an answer of one word, a long stream of returns, another word, another single word, etc. Because that's just abusing the privalege and being a public annoyance without even answering the question. If there was a legitmate answer in there somewhere, I'd leave it alone.

I only report if it's very offensive.
But people like to report me if they disagree. Already lost 70 points like that.

Yes I have, for language and slander. I also would never report somebody for simply disagreeing. That is what this forum is all about.

I report outright racism.
I reported someone who said he would love to go to the show if all Christians were fed to lions; He wants to hear the screams.
I report child porn.
I reported one guy who said that Jesus raped puppies.
I have also reported people who threaten atheists.

In my almost one year of coming here, I have only reported questions couple of times and have never reported an answer. The only reason I reported the questions was because of pornography or blatant bigotry.

I report people all the time, because people violate the community guidelines all the time. I never report anyone for disagreeing with me, but if someone is racist, being stupid, not asking an actual question, etc., I report them.
Though, I never get the post deleted. Im not exactly on good terms as far as being reported myself. But I usually only get reported because, of course, I blatantly disagreed..
