There is only relative truth.
The truth or rightness in something must be evaluated against something. The truth or rightness of something
is connected to it's workabliity in the direction of the survival of life in all it's forms and interactions.
Ultimate truth would be Infinite survival. So a truth would
be relative to where it was on this scale in relation to life, with Infinite survival at the top and Total succumb at the bottom and a mutitude of degrees between these two extremes.
So you could only have a ratio of how much more truth than lies exist in something or how much more lies that truth. The yardstick being: Does it help you to survive or succumb and to what degree.
There is also the point that what is true for YOU must also be based upon your own observation and experience of it.
Just because someone states that something is true does NOT make it true for you automatically and without personal inspection observation and experience of it.

Truth is NOT "fact" ... truth can vary from individual to individual ... my 'truth' may not be your 'truth' but both are 'valid' as long as you don't try to 'force' your truth onto me, nor I onto you.
Let's say that a man across the street has been shot by a woman ... the 'facts' are that a male person has been shot by a female person at a certain time, in a certain place. Let's say that I know the man to be a 'slime ball' who takes money from many women by saying he loves them, and the woman wo shot him was one of his latest victims. You may know the woman to be a complete 'scum bucket' who uses men who try to help her 'better herself.' Which is the 'truth'? Actually BOTH can be true without 'changing the facts' of the case ... which is why when you 'take the oath' in a court of law, you are asked to state 'the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth' but each person's 'truth' is different, and the 'jury' must decide the guilt or innocence of the accused.

What is truth , Truth is hard to find , truth has been flooded and hidden by lies , not all the truth can be found truly , Lies make one even question the real truth . Truth is hard to find and hard to keep . Truth is to know what is right .

Dear Satan splash, this is indeed a very good question. Pointus Pilot, the Roman curator over Jesus's trial asked the same question too Jesus himself. God is truth, he is the creator of all that is good and true, and Christ, his son, was the instrument of expressing Gods truth and Salvation too the people of the world. the Bible says that they who have the father have truth. What is the truth? God is Holy, he is Just and is standard of Holiness is his commandments, he will have a day in which every man and woman will give account of the moral choices made here in earth. then according too our actions we will recive Justice. This emans, that telling one lie, stealing one time, using Gods name in vain just once or lusting after one person puts us at odds with Gods standard of perfection. the Bible says all have fallen short of Gods perfect standard, and because of this were deserving of God's justice (hell). but God was not wiling that any should eprish, but that al should come too find everlasting life. when jesus came and died, he tooj the peanlty of the sin we have comitted. we broke God's law, and Jesus paid the fine. Now we can be forgvien by knowing and having a personal relationship with him and reciving his forgivness. we do this by confessing and forsaking our sin, and trusting in Christ too save us. the Moment we do, you will know the truth, God will reveal himself and forgive and grant the gift of everlasting life too everyman and woman that calls upon his name.

each individual has their own truth... that is the actual occurances of your life... no one else knows that truth better than you... how ever even if several people experience the same moment and occurance we see that many bringing their own personal experiences and personality to the witnessing of occurance can see it differently for not one of us can recall every second of every moment of our lives... showing us the bigger then truth the more "oppinions" we become to rely on and when there is opposition to the truth we are left with the physical evidence that assist in pointing us in the direction of the more likely truth....

depends because every person has their own perception of life and events. One truth may not be the same to another but together tells a story!
