I don't know. I've wondered about that, too.
Rodents can be pets. Hamsters, mice. Some people consider guinea pigs and rabbits to be rodents, but they're not.

But...isn't R & S just a subcategory of society and culture? Unlike Pets which, for some reason, is a category in of itself? That could be the problem right there...

Religion and Spirituality is a subcategory of Society and Culture...take a look at the categories listed under Society and Culture and it should make more sense to you...how much further would you want to go???

i'm uncertain. i do no longer think of i might spend plenty time in an atheists' area. Theism is diverse sufficient to generate various interesting conversations. it would be plenty greater relaxing, a minimum of in the previous each and every thing, to have the skill to bypass alongside a number of what i've got discovered to those that ought to truly use it (and study from others), than to be continually protecting my psychological proper to exist. That being pronounced, i've got have been given quite some atheist contacts. little question their questions might draw me over into the 'dark area' one in a jointly as. i'm hoping it never happens. we don't want a separate area for atheists. R&S could be perfect purely because it quite is that if persons could be civil to a minimum of one yet another.

Good point. I think subcategories would really help organize R&S

I agree with You. However, i enjoy the "melting pot" character this gives to R&S. This is the only forum where You can write things You wouldn't dare say in public.
Hey! Rats are great pets! We have several of them here in R&S.

Good question. I think it would be nice to not have to weed through all the other faiths and to have catagories would make it more obvious when the trolls are trying to start trouble.

I suppose they didn't want to have to acknowledge that there are different religions. Notice how Yahoo only popularizes the most trivial little everyday questions.
