It came out several years ago, starred Robin Williams (not a funny film), and took place in the afterlife. I was wondering what people thought of the writer's take on the afterlife. I found it most agreeable.

QUOTE: "Martial status is a significant contributor to an individual's state of health and well-being--perhaps the most significant factor. Married people suffer less from illness and disease and typically enjoy a longer life than those who are not married." (1)
"Married people have the lowest morbidity rates, while the divorced show the highest. Naturally, the morality rates are lower as well." (2)END QUOTE

Here on Yahoo! Answers they could affirm that they are Witnesses and once in a while say some negative things about the organization making people think that JWs don't speak in agreement.

THIS QUESTION IS ONLY FOR JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES!!!

Especially in a mutlicultural society like America, why not just celebrate Christmas in addition to any other religion you may belong to? Let's all celebrate and stop fighting each other and stop trying to suppress Christmas. It's a lot of fun!:)

Like I hear them say "the universe will provide" or "open your mind to the universe." I know they aren't talking about the inanimate universe, space, atoms, dark matter. Is that only a different way to talk about God?

Ayn Rand is a favorite author of the Conservative crowd, for she wrote books about societies where everyone does their part, all working to support themselves, all busy as bees and happy as larks.

In reality, Ayn Rand did not live this way at all. She was an exceptionally unattractive woman and when she met a younger lover (perhaps the very first cougar,) it didn't matter that he was married. She moved him and his wife into her home and supported both of them, living happily in this "menage de trois (forgive my terrible French.)

So why do Conservatives inevitably pick heroes and heroines that are basically morally flawed? Many of their political leaders have been corrupt. Many preachers of the Mega Churches have fallen, and several are being investigated by the Justice Department for misuse of funds.

With their yearning for a perfect world, and their religious faith, why do Conservatives always pick the wrong people to lead them on their quest?

In other words, where, throughout
Protestantism's relatively brief life-span, can we find examples just one will do of sola scriptura actually working, functioning in such a way that it brings about doctrinal certitude and unity of doctrine among Christians?

Ok, I know that not all the atheists on here are hostile. But that was a catchy sounding question.

But *some* of you are being extremely hateful toward non-Atheists. Doesn't that kind of make you a hypocrite?

And before your head explodes, yes yes I know that many non-Atheists are hypocrites as well!! You don't need to lecture me on it!

My point is, people should not be going around making such sweeping generalizations, whatever their belief/nonbelief. And then to get so angry and antagonistic, when supposedly that's one the reasons you don't like Christians?

How can you sit there and say Christians are idiots? You don't know all Christians. Just like I don't know all Atheists. And since I don't know all Atheists, I wouldn't dream of making such sweeping, negative remarks about ALL atheists.

A GENIE!? Why make wishes and expect Him to grant them? Why not pray for the prayers of others to be granted? That is the true blessing. Do you agree?

Are you saved.?
Martin Luther.

“Not for a thousand years has God bestowed such great gifts on any bishop as He as on me” (E61, 422). “God has appointed me for the whole German land, and I boldly vouch and declare that when you obey me you are without a doubt obeying not me but Christ” (W15, 27). “Whoever obeys me not, despises not me but Christ.” “I believe that we are the last trump that sounds before Christ is coming”. “What I teach and write remains true even though the whole world should fall to pieces over it.” (W18, 401). “Whoever rejects my doctrine cannot be saved.” “Nobody should rise up against me

I find it nonsensical that many people make the basis for God’s nonexistence simply being because agony and poverty exist in the world. In my opinion, adversity gives an individual strength and if a God existed he/she/it would have wanted his dominions to be resilient.

Even though I am an Atheist, I am curious to hear other people’s opinions on this subject.

and glad the roman empire fell because they declared the living God a hersey, because He is the God within the word DIO and CHRISTIANITY, and is so very glad romans became as slow witted as the Jews, meaning beleiving in Jesus, jehovah, ressurection, etc.(mainly ressurection)

because like i already proved I AM the being described by atleast 13 different languages making Me God and not Jesus of even Caesar.

great i commit hersey and thank Todd there is nothing the church can do to Me thanks to Canadian law. But perhaps i should sue the church/government for harrasment with the voices they use to harrass Me. Its far worse then Indian residential school that My father was forced to go to. And thats a fact. Its why i am happy that people in My family have been violent in the past. serves society right!!
