Darkness always overcomes light. Night overcomes day. Lightbulbs burn out and darkness remains. Stars, even our own sun, will eventually burn out leaving darkness where there once was light. Light is measurable and comes from a source, darkness is what remains when the source of light fails (as all sources will), is not measurable, and needs no source. Why would anybody use such an analogy, when it is so obviously flawed?

I interviewed for a job on last thursday. The company told me that they would let me know of their decision by this week. If they are honest, I believe that they would call me back. Can you pray for me that I would get the job? I am in a need of job and I need to really move on with my life. I've been searching for jobs for a while for like 5 months but it is not going well. then I tried to go into ministry because that is what I wanted to do in coming January whether I get the job or not but then my parents are saying "no" to the ministry that I wanted to get involved in. Doors of opportunity are not really opening up in my life. Could you pray for God's mercy, grance to be poured on? and that I would know what to do and perhaps get the job?be active? instead of staying home, feeling depressed? I need to feel emotionally, spiritually better... Could you pray for me that doors of opportunity will be open in my life? breaking all the walls that is blocking me to be open? Thank you.

What if the bible and all of "morality" is a tool of the devil to corrupt humanity. What if the devil wants us to do good and God wants us to do evil. Whose side would you choose?

Ok, I'm not a Christian, I am a Muslim, but isn't Christmas the Christians holiday? So why should any store or business be afraid of saying "Merry Christmas"? I don't know a single Muslim who finds this offensive. All of the ones I know take it as a greeting and either say it back or say "same to you". And in support of my Christian friends here on Answers and 360 (Multiply as well), I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I enjoy seeing the houses decorated with the lights and stuff. My family has a tradition of going to Candy Cane Lane here in my city (blocks and blocks of houses intricately decorated, a tourist site here). They give out candy canes and hot cocoa to whoever comes (they walk it to your vehicle).

Why do some find it so offensive? Who cares if others don't believe. If you don't, simply don't say it. This Muslim woman has no problem saying it.

Merry Christmas to you.

On the cross, Jesus said "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"

This (and a few other examples) appears to me to mean that there was a separation between God's mind and Jesus' mind. If God and Jesus are one being (Holy Spirit, one being in three parts all God) why would this separation occur?

Greatest Man in History

The Greatest Man in History Jesus had no servants, yet
they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called
Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him
Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won
no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was
buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored
to serve such a Leader who loves us! If you believe in
God and in Jesus Christ His Son . . If
you ignore it, just remember that Jesus said ... "If
you deny me before man, I will deny you before my
Father in Heaven."

isn't beleiving in god, the holy spirt and his son (jesus) the fudamentals for Christianity? the trinity?
If Jesus is god's son, why do say they Jesus is the human form of god? And god is god, so how can he have a family? A son? a Mother? The purpose of family in the life is support. God having family, wouldn't that be association with god? Isn't god above everything else? How does the immaculate conception of Mary lead to Jesus being called his son? And why is the holy spirit seperate to that of God? How can it exist alongside God? God is God. I mean so what's with the holy spirit?

What do you mean by the words 'soul-searching' and how do you do it properly? What are you searching for?
This question has nothing to do with whether or not 'soul' is a reality, (although I suspect many of your answers will provide evidence of its existence), and everything to do with the process, meaning, and value of it for you. I've noticed that many of your answers are actually confessions in the truest form of the word. (you know who you are)
Is soul-searching a time of reckoning? Is soul-searching like 'balancing the books' at the end of the month to see if you're in the red or the black? Or is it literally trying to find your own soul?

i don't think i've read one response here from someone who says they have studied evolution and they still deny it, that doesn't go something like, "i've studied evolution and i think it's crap." that's all i read though. no explanations why. just simply that they think it's crap. so, to those who have studied evolution and still think it's "crap", care to elaborate why you think so?

If it is drummed into them as a child and they are living in a closed, narrow minded community, it must take strength and intelligence to question things if you're bombarded with it constantly.
