It seems to me that most people who mock my church are people who could never have the self control to live our standards. The point and laugh but maybe they should be looking in the mirror.

Between these two chapters there are two parables on the matter of watching and waiting.
Found in Matthew 24:32-44
I am particularly interested in those of the 2's.
The two in the bed.. one taken one left
The two grinding at the mill. One taken one left
The two in the field. One taken one left.

We need to just clarify that the Lord in this parable is NOT addressing sinners. That one who is taken is saved and the other left is not.
In Luke we see this same portion where the Lord speaks of us of loving or loosing the soul life.
Now I want to just consider the other parable on watchfulness and waiting in the 10 Virgins.
In this parable also we see 5 wise 5 foolish.
I want to put this to you. 2+10=12
12 is the number of completion. This could represent the totality of God's people.
The 2 of the 2's in Matt 24 and the 10 of the virgins.
NOte also that the all ten virgins slept. Yet those in Ch 24 are working, grinding. having a life...alive.

Do you see any connection?

why is it that a LOT of people with different beliefs have a lack of respect for each other??

so what if someone doesn't follow the same religion, or doesn't choose to live the same lifestyles as you... does that honestly give you the right to judge and bash people, to shove your beliefs down their throats?

i'm not saying that everyone does it. i'm not directing this to any religion or specific people in general... i'm directing this to everyone, whether you've done it before or witnessed it. i'm not asking this as a christian, athiest, protestant, muslim or any other religion... i'm asking this as a PERSON.

Or should he/she change the Constitution to make a Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Mormon, Scientology, Hindi, Buddhist country?

JFK was one of the most popular presidents and he did not let his Catholic religion influence his decisions. I am afraid that some of the candidates would allow their religious beliefs affect their decision making.

is there a valid explanation as to why these people believe the Pope to be an anti-Christ?

the first person in history that ever said that was Martin Luther in the midst of his anger, so why do these people believe the words of an angry man?

I'm not discriminating against Christians... I just hear from them often and rarely get insight into other people's faiths.

Here in Arizona we have the Vatican Observatory. What does the pope need a scope for?

Was it that the actual Third Secret of Fatima was a prediction that an asteriod is gonna wipe us all out? Is the asteroid called 'Our Lady'?

Let's say the argument that Atheists have 'no morals' was true.( I know its not true since I am one) How would that prove God? Only thing it would prove is that people need to be scared in to being good... which only makes humanity look worse.

So when justice is served, the convicted serves his time in prison, goes on parole, and even pays back restitution in jail. So that person has paid for his crime and justice has been served.

After paying for his crime, that said person is no longer in debted to society anymore. He may have even proved himself worthy by being an outstanding moral prisoner and helped other inmates. He is now out, the victim's family has already got their justice.

So why does the victim's family try to hinder the now free criminal's rights to his personal freedoms. Why does society do this as a whole? If a person has paid his debt to society, after he is released, why should he continue to pay for a debt that has been set by law, if he already paid it?

This was a very difficult year, for my family. It looks like we're having our saddest Christmas ever and, although I'm not religious, this time of the year means a lot to me, and I know it means a lot to my Mom.

Yesterday was my parents' wedding anniversary and, when I went to kiss them good night, I found them holding hands, and looking at each other in a way that warmed my heart. They went through a lot together, and for reasons I prefer not to write here, there were times when I thought their marriage wouldn't survive.

When, after all that, I see what I saw yesterday, something tells me that everything will be well for our family, somehow, eventually :)

What gives YOU hope, when things are difficult?

Thank you for your answers! :)

Have a wonderful night/day! :)

This friend I've known for 8 years started saying mean comments about my religion. She is an atheist and she recently started saying things like "the (insert my religion)'s are trying to take over and they're really rude and they can't get anyone to date them" and stuff like that. Which is really weird because I think the majority of US citizens share my general beliefs especially around the midwest. She was being so rude that I basically stopped hanging out w/her. I never said stuff about her beliefs like that. What do you think about that?

And I say, fine. Pray for anything you want. Pray for anything, but what about the Divine Plan?

God is one-hundred percent in opposition to Satan in every way. God is love, joy, peace, light, hope and life. Satan is hate, sorrow, destruction, darkness, fear and death. The same applies to God's plan; it is the complete opposite of Satan's plan. First of all realize that God loves you more then you could imagine. God loves you with the same love that He did Jesus! We know this because Jesus said it Himself in a prayer to the Father before His crucifixion

The Divine Plan. Long time ago, God made a Divine Plan. Gave it a lot of thought, decided it was a good plan, put it into practice. And for billions and billions of years.

Another question... is god a man or woman or other????
What makes you say this?
