Or should he/she change the Constitution to make a Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Mormon, Scientology, Hindi, Buddhist country?

JFK was one of the most popular presidents and he did not let his Catholic religion influence his decisions. I am afraid that some of the candidates would allow their religious beliefs affect their decision making.

Absolutely.

I honestly think that thats the best thing that could ever happen to this country - we've seen what religious countries can do in the Middle East.

I know what my beliefs are. I also know that many things that I deem morally unacceptable are perfectly fine to other people. My stance is that as long as my right to not participate in it isn't infringed and as long as nobody is directly adversely affected by it(except for whomever chooses to participate), its all good.

The concept of 'separation of Church and state' is NOT in the Constitution, and in fact, the Supreme court ruled that "THIS IS A CHRISTIAN NATION," so no, the next President sould not affirm such an unconstitutional notion. He ought to repudiate the idea of the separation of Church and state.

You fear the idea that good morals may inform a man's decision making? That is a very bizarre outlook indeed!

The very word "Tyranny" in its Greek root words means "to govern without religion."

There's no need to change the Constitution. Freedom of religion is clearly protected under the First Amendment.
