The gospels did not even exist at this time. well parts of it did thru word of mouth but it was not written.

And when you die. . do u go to Sheol. or Hell. And when do you go to Heaven/Hell. . at ur death. . or at the day of judgement (when all souls are judged) ?

I love the Bible dearly. It shows us how God interacted with His (Its) people, and how peopl understood and followed God, and His Son Jesus Christ. The Bible is Beautiful. . but literal? innerant? it never even makes such claims itself so. . why do we presume to??

The Bible, the Scriptures of the Old Testament and the New Testament, preserved for us in the Masoretic text (Old Testament) Textus Receptus (New Testament) and in the King James Bible, is verbally and plenarily inspired of God. It is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and altogether authentic, accurate and authoritative Word of God, therefore the supreme and final authority in all things.

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:20-21

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Other than the King James Bible, no; this comment is not true for any other book written in English. The rest of them like the NIV, TNIV, NASV, RASV, etc. all have error in them.

Abi, there are other verses in the Bible that prove the King James Bible is the only one in English that is inerrant and infallible.

Refer to 2 Timothy 2:9

"...the word of God is not bound."

Every book out there has a copyright on it. The KJB is the "only" one that has a Crown copyright. Crown copyright simply means, that who ever publishs the AV1611 can not claim absolute ownership of it.

Whether we are talking about the NKJV, NIV, NASV or whatever, if you quote more than a 1,000 words from any of them, by law (and it states this in their prefaces of their books) you have to get their written premission to quote from them.

From "the" Word of God, you don't. Quote whatever you want whenever you want.

As God promised, He has preserved His word for the English people in the King James Bible. Proverbs 16:10 says, "A divine sentence is in the lips of the KING. . ." Ecclesiastes 8:4 says, "Where the word of a KING is, there is power . . ." King James. "James" is not an English word but a Hebrew word. Did you know the Hebrew word for James is Jacob! You'll never guess what Psalms 147:19 says, "He showeth His WORD unto JACOB..."

This also proves that the catholic church had nothing to do with given us the Bible.

Up Date:

"The Bible is Beautiful. . but literal? innerant? it never even makes such claims itself so. . why do we presume to??"

Either the Bible is 100% true or 100% lie. There is no "grey" area. If God's Word is not 100% true, then what are you wasting your time going to church for? Ponder what you are saying. When it's all said and done, that why nothing else in English can be trusted but the King James Bible.

If nothing else, put God's Word to the test (below):

I wouldn't tell you that it was inerrant. And I think that the people who say it is don't know enough history about the Bible to make such a statement.

The inerrant Word of God sat down at the right hand of the Father, His name is Jesus Christ.

As far as 'literal' , I guess it depends on what you mean by literal. Perfect? No. It wasn't perfect, it was 'inspired'. I find the safest ground to describe the Bible accurately is to just say what it says about itself. Error is too common, and attaching all kinds of words to it makes it even easier to do. The Bible says this about itself:

2 Timothy 3
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

That's what it says. All these other words make it sound important, but it is important by what it says. Why would anything else need to be added?

there is each reason to take the text cloth of the Bible heavily. there is likewise each reason to assume it to communicate in poetic type, in metaphor and allegory -- in view that's the way it became carried out in those days. Literal recounting of historic certainty became seen as fully unimportant in those cases. the famous theory of historic previous and the medical technique have been nevertheless many, many centuries interior the destiny. those are reasons to handle the Biblical text cloth as metaphor, poetic etc. i be attentive to of not a single reason in anyway -- different than the obdurate approach of early nineteenth century Christian questioning -- that could desire to point that the Bible must be study actually. there is no precedent for that. i come across that a poetic examining of the text cloth works completely, superbly, reconciling all texts fairly seemlessly with one yet another. attempt to study the Bible as actually authentic, and it fairly is a chaotic mess. for this reason, i'm drawn in the direction of the tip that there is no foundation for a literal interpretation of scripture. Your mileage could variety.

The question is meaningless as stated. There are several collections of scriptural text called by those who support them "Bibles", and these are known to have differing numbers of books in their contents. Add to this the fact that a great number of books in all of these are written at different points of time and space, and from different perspectives, and it is easy to understand why contradictions amongst the books emerge when analyzed in any detail.

One way that any particular Bible might be perfect in this sense is that in order to be inerrant it does not have to avoid self-contradictions or errors of fact. It was entirely provided by whatever is called "God" and thus represents a perfect expression thereof, in all literal and metaphorical hues.

Another way that Bibles in general might be inerrant is as regards the interests of the God to express. As such, the refined text of the scripture is the expression of the God to the world, and their contextual clues provide for us the literal or metaphorical nature of that expression, perfect from the deity to us as readers.

Bearing in mind that the Lord God Almighty, created man, created the heavens etc.
God was able to do all that, he was also able to make sure His Word was preserved.

Psalm 12:6-7...The words of the Lord are pure words: as siver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
AKJV

There are ways to tell whether something is true, authentic, etc etc.

It is consistency, in which the parts fit together well.
It is proof and evidence, which backs up the information.
It is history which backs up the proof and evidence.
It is logical and believable - plausible.
