Supposing there is a huge divine plan, and God did exist, wouldn't the Devil be interested in using fallen or atheist people to get in the way of the believers, and push them off-course, and eventually and hopefully turn them from God completely?

I mean even for non-believers, who try to be good people, do you ever encounter bad-seeds, or shady types that after a while can be a danger to yourself, your career and your family?

Perhaps this should be asked to non-believers as well as believers, because we all, regardless of religious beliefs, have to encounter bad life circumstance, personal tragedy, illness, and encounter people who end up harming us more so than causing any good to come out of it.

Now, since I'm a believer, or at least WANT to believe, better than believing Bush and humanity (eye roll), the closer you turn to God, will your life get harder and you're setting yourself up as a major target for the devil and his minions?

If that's the case, why torture urself?

have been to some church groups, meetings and Bible studies where the pastor/reverand and other church members make fun of homosexuals and believers of other religions. I have often heard some say that they will "Pray for these Non-Christians", and that they'll "pray for those who don't believe". It's like if you do not believe the norm in orthodox religion, or if you do not subscribe to a particular belief, you are damned and going to hell. This is my personal problem with organized religion, particularly Christianity.

I admit, I am still trying to decipher everything and find my true spiritual place, but I think of myself as a Christian and believe in God, I just have a problem with many of the things they say in Chruch and some Christian books.

Personally, I do not think that is is "Christian" to make fun of those who are different, or condemn people who do not believe as you do. What are your thoughts?

KGB's deposit of US $2 billion in a Swiss bank account in 1985 in the "minor" account of Rahul Gandhi managed by his mother Antonia Maino alias Sonia Gandhi as per .Schweitzer Illustrierte, a Swiss magazine. Sonia was born in1944 in Luciana in Italy as per her birth certificate submitted to our Government. Her father Stefano Maino a Nazi was in a Russian prison from 1942 to 1945. Sonia's marriage to Rajeev time as per reports both were of the same age. So a new birth date of 1946 was created and the place of birth became Orbassano in Italy and the name became Sonia which is uncommon in Italy. In 1966 she was working in London for an ISI operative Salman Thassir. When Sonia came to power, Russia called back its Ambassador and posted an ex KGB chief in New Delhi of 1970s as the new ambassador. India made urgent payment to Russia without price negotiation for our contracts.. Italy wanted India to close case on Quattrocchi in 2003 Sonia marrying Rajiv is not a simple boy meets the girl thing, but could be a planned operation by the Vatican. Sonia was groomed and presented in front of Rajiv Gandhi by KGB, to hook Rajiv which was successful. Subsequently Rajiv marries Sonia.

I'm in need of some suggestions. Please be serious, do not tell me to stick to the story, or just tell her it's all just a big fib.

My 4 and a half yr old just asked me a bit ago (after seeing a real reindeer on the Rachael Ray show, and I told her it could not fly) if Santa was real. I was stumped, fumbled over my words, reminded her that Christmas is Jesus' birthday and he shares his gifts with us, and told her we would talk about it more later.

Can anyone help me explain the spirit of Santa w/out crushing the fantasy completely?

I believe there is more goodness in the world and we are NOT going to heck in a handbasket.

What encounters with goodness have you had today?

If I say to you, "Merry Christmas", what is your response?

( Luke 2:10-11 : "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. " )

This is primarily for Christians, and among Christians will probably apply most directly to the evangelical sect.

Why would you wish someone you KNOW is Jewish a "Merry Christmas" instead of a "Happy Hannukah?" The receptionist at my work is a "hard core" Christian of some sort. I don't know if she's Baptist, born again, or what exactly, but whatever, she really is a very nice person, and has been here for at least 15 years.

We're sending a thank you card to one of our sales reps who sent us all chocolates for the holidays. Our sales rep is Jewish. Which everyone in the company knows, because he's been with us for a long time. He even sent us the chocolate gold coins that appear for Hannukah. So why, WHY, would she write "Merry Christmas!" when she signed her name?! WHY couldn't she write "Happy Hannukah?" I understand the sentiment, but is it so hard to acknowledge that a coworker doesn't share your beliefs? Really, is that so unthinkable? Please help me understand.

1. Shakespeare
2. Francis Bacon
3. The earl of Oxford
4. Monkeys at a typewriter

We can obviously rule out number four. The reason why this question is in R & S is because it is similar to the question:
Who created the universe?
1. God
2. Allah
3. Vishnu
4. Time and Chance
An evolutionist that believes number four is like an English scholar that believes that monkeys wrote Shakespeare's plays. The origin of the universe and everything in it is outside the purview of science. Scientists should direct their attention to the advancement of knowledge rather than trying to prop up the dead paradigm of evolution.
So if evolutionists refuse to believe that monkeys wrote Shakespeare, then how can they claim that time and chance could create so much order and information?

Why are the religious so occupied with death? Death seams to be their only hope. If their God can't do anything for them during their life here on earth, how can they hope for anything better after death?

I'm kinda confused! Here's the situation: My boyfriend tells me he's trusting me 100%. I told him I can't trust in him 100% because GOD says you can only trust him, no one else! He gets sad, and tells me the bible contradicts itself, by saying you should only trust God, but then it says you should trust your husband/wife! Can someone with more knowledge explain to me the trust issue! How much can we trust in our significant other?

I really can him to understand where I'm coming from, that I trust him, but I CAN'T or SHOULD'T trust him completely because my GOD tells me so T_T
